If it wasn’t pi it was holding right? Either way the Bucs get another play and are going to pass not run.

What a momentum swing at the end of the half. Kansas City’s time out strategy was awful. The penalties were icing on the cake.

The Chiefs defensive gameplan is a Spagnuolo special—hold everywhere. They are just getting called for it tonight

Big test for Reid here. Feels like KC is mentally falling apart. He needs to get them back on track.

It’s a shame Belichick lost sight of that at some point.
I think you’ve got this backwards. He didn’t change his approach to Tom. Tom asked for the void year, probably in part because he never did change how he coached Tom, not because he lost sight of Tom’s ability.

But nice quip!

Yep. I mean when they say the refs need to let the players play, and not insert themselves into the game... by not calling things that are penalties, you as a ref ARE inserting yourself into the game.
Please...And there haven’t been defensive holding by the Bucs that could have been called? Of course there has...but these calls have been game changing. Reminds me of the 2005 divisional game against the Broncos.

Chiefs lack of run game is hurting. Bucs are a great run D, so you don’t want to waste plays running into the teeth of it, but there is just no threat of play action. Pin your ears back and get to the QB.

It’s really weird that the default response for a game when there is a lot of penalties is “the refs should call fewer penalties” instead of “the Chiefs should stop committing penalties.”

Tacko Fall on a ladder wouldn't have been able to reach that ball
When you figure in that he was moving at something like 15 MPH I think it’s pretty tough to argue credibly that Evans couldn’t let alone someone taller. Complaining about that being uncatchable is pretty ridiculous for you and for Romo, I don’t think many football people will question that call. The ref in the booth said it right—-there’s no way to conclude that Evans doesn’t get 5 yards there. Dude is 6 feet tall with a longer reach and was tripped well before the ball got there. It’s just physics...you can’t defend the uncatchable argument

Now, he may well not have but that isn’t the standard. You need no chance it is caught to rule it unwatchable and there’s simply not case for it there
