I will say. Horrible horrible call. But, it’s not like the chiefs were losing the game at that point either.

Eagles would have had a real chance, especially to tie the game, but it wasn’t a clear steal from the eagles either.
Well it was a clear steal, in that the Eagles had zero chance after that penalty which should have been a non-call.

Welp, great game, almost. That would have been a much more interesting game if Hurts and the Eagles got the ball back with 1:30 left and let the best team earn their way to the trophy.

I mean, if it were the Pats instead of the Chiefs, I'd take it, but...

At that point in the game if it’s not a Willie pile-driving Faulk degree of contact you have to let it go. The refs wilted as much as anyone has ever wilted.

Kelce feeling disrespected.

The only good to result from this outcome is we'll get PFT doing Mahomes sideline interview unfiltered later tonight.

Ooh a live action dog movie. Now we’re talking.

Maybe they can make like a reverse John Wick? Like a dog sees his own get killed and then takes out the mafia. Adorably.

I think whichever ref called that holding saw the jersey seemingly getting tugged, but failed to register it was so minor (and short) that it did not impede the receiver at all

The game is too fast, need to add challengeable penalties I think

That postgame interview made me want to puke. Mahomes and Kelce really want to play the “no one believed in us” card? Really?

Correct. I don't see why you don't throw a flag there simply because of the context. If it's a penalty you call it. And he grabbed the jersey and it was obvious.
You have very concrete thinking on football rules. That’s not how that call is made. He didn’t cause any disruption in the route. Weird to end the game on that call in a game without many penalties at all.

Has the rule about the ball needing to be catchable changed? There's zero chance JuJu gets to that pass.
The rules clearly state “if ball is thrown by Sir Mahomes and the foul would benefit his stat sheet - then thusly the call shall heretofore be called in favor of Sir Mahomes”

As someone who doesn’t like either team I guess that’s an acceptable outcome. You get to call one team lucky and the other team has a devastating loss.

Something similar to that happens on nearly every play

My wife is a KC fan and even she thought that flag was BS, especially as they’ve not been calling much all game.

It's actually a shame because he was epic, and Andy Reid coached and amazing game. But that gets overshadowed by an awful call.

Now that would be great.

Dang...no kidding. Shut up moron.
How can Hurts win the MVP when he fumbled away 7 and Mahomes scored on every drive in the second half

So despite the shenanigans at the end, the play of the game was the Hurts fumble returned for the TD. It looked like the Eagles were driving to a 21-7 lead and complete domination when Hurts dropped the ball for literally no reason.
