He's gotten some gift strike calls too.Urquidy doesn't look great to me. Breaking pitches are flat and the fastball is straight.
You can’t give up that easy. I didn’t give up when it was 28-3 I just changed tv’s/rooms.Three bleeders in a row. I think that's enough for me tonight.
Thank you for your sacrifice. You can’t give up that easy. I didn’t give up when it was 28-3 I just changed tv’s/rooms.
He's got to get them through five somehow, although the off-day will help. The Braves needed another bullpen game.
It's 2 a.m. here. And I got 4 hours of sleep last night. You can’t give up that easy. I didn’t give up when it was 28-3 I just changed tv’s/rooms.
I think this guy had a premonition about tonight.Hope it's not too soon to discuss games 3-5...When Houston goes to Atlanta, there's no DH. You have to think that Alvarez has to be in the lineup since he is hitting a ton. The only place he's played is LF. Can't take Brantley or Tucker out of the lineup, so McCormick sits. None of these 3 guys are Center Fielders, Brantley hasn't played there since 2015 and Tucker has 5 career games playing CF. I guess Brantley goes to right and Tucker to center. Regardless, someone is out of position, and that may be a factor when the series shifts to Atlanta.
Are you saying we have a problem [with that]?An entire row of empty seats between the Houston dugout and home plate. WTF?
Just another indictment of the Astros, their fans, Houston, etc.Are you saying we have a problem [with that]?
I agree, but managers are loathe to replace the starting catcher because of injury.Dusty needed to pinch hit Maldonado there and put the game away.
Nor do I, professional middle infielders don’t catch the ball in that situation in the way other fielders do - they trap it fleetingly against the palm, just enough to grip and throw. That was a bad call.I don't agree with that call.
At least it's not just us who hate blackouts!Meanwhile, the Anderson family was on vacation in Myrtle Beach, scrambling to find a workaround since the game was blacked out on MLB.TV there.
ESPN is thoroughly tied in financially to the NBA, CFB, and the NFL and not to MLB. As for Sportscenter, that could be that there was no game yesterday in addition to the financial reasons.Does anyone even care about the World Series? Just turned on MLB.TV and they are replaying the game from two days ago. ESPN Sportscenter right now and they are almost 10 minutes into their mid-day broadcast and they haven't even mentioned it.
ESPN.com has no mention of baseball on their homepage.
