Embiid has logged 21 minutes and should be done. With the knee issues, he might only be good for 25 in these playoffs on most nights.
Color me skeptical about the severity of his knee "injury." Sitting out at the end of the season may have been the Sixers "load management" in effect. I've seen some of his biggest games come with that same grimace and body language like someone just shot him in the leg. Did he play like he was injured in these first two games? 22/15/5/4 in 24 minutes and he was dominant tonight as well with more mental focus in keeping his fat ass in the paint rather than behind the arc.

That did not look good for Cousins hip.
The ultimate irony is that if he is done for the playoffs, it may increase the tiny chance that he remains with Golden State. Given his on/off numbers, I am not sure its a good thing but it may soften the blow, somewhat, of Durant leaving (which I am skeptical of anyhow).

Somehow Marv Albert looks bigger than Chris Webber sitting next to him. That is a serious Instagram filter.

Barkley saying Cousins grabbed the same area of his leg and walked off the same way he did when he blew out his quad at start of his final season. MRI is tomorrow but Charles said they will know in the locker room and may already know by now.

This sounds very bad for Boogie.

Cousins is made of glass. Some sucker is gonna give him a max deal this summer.
He was reasonably durable before the Achilles tear: 81, 64, 75, 71, 59, 65, 72 games played before the Achilles season, and 48 of 48 games for NOP before the injury.

I agree that paying him the max is risky. On the other hand, if no one offers him the max or somewhere close, he'll probably just take his $6.3M non-Bird raise and stay with the Warriors.

So ... quad strain. Fingers crossed it's a mild one, or the Warriors' versatility just took a hit. Meanwhile: Bob Myers looks prescient for keeping tabs on Bogut and swooping in to add him when it was assumed his NBA career was over. Kevon Looney blossoming also helps a ton. He's +46 so far this playoffs, after being a massive positive all season long.

Still, an incredibly shitty blow for DeMarcus if Barkley is right.

Looney hasn't just blossomed during the playoffs. He had a very good regular season as well. If the Warriors lose Cousins for the playoffs, its not really going to change their prospects.

It sucks for Boogie though given that this is his first playoff appearance.

The Clippers scored 44 in the 3rd and have this down to 10 now.

There's significant concern that DeMarcus Cousins has suffered a torn left quad, but there won't be complete certainty until his MRI on Tuesday, league sources tell ESPN. The hope is that it's just a strain.

Ha, GS is in the bonus with 10:40 left, don't remember ever seeing that.

This picture on top of the Woj tweet is a bad sign for Boogie

Chuck knew it as soon as he saw it per HRB's post upthread. That sucks so bad for Boogie if its as bad as it looks. If its really a quad rupture, the talk of him returning to Golden State may be even too optimistic. Per the interwebs (obligatory paging DRS!), it can take as long as a year to come back. Does Cousins have the drive to go through another grueling rehab? And will the Warriors, let alone anyone else, gamble on a big who is knocking on the door of 30 years old?

Meantime, you have to love the Clippers. They just won't quit!

11 unanswered for LAC, down to 3. GS timeout, always hard to turn it on again once you've gone into cruise control, even in the playoffs.

Imagine people who went to bed with GS up 31 and they wake up to a loss? I so want this to happen.

First time Durant has ever fouled out of a playoff game, his 129th career game.

Twitter people were mocking Beverley when he was getting fired up drawing a foul on Durant when they were down 25! Oh my!

I'm feeling a little better about the Cs blowing only a 28 point lead to the Clips

Lou Will deserves all the love he will get for this. Add in the budding star in Harrell, the defensive hound that is PatBev and Shamet and yeah. The Clippers are going to be a destination this summer.

Wow. Warriors blow a 31-point 3rd quarter lead, and (probably) lose Cousins for the playoffs. Life just got interesting. Fvck!

I was at the Celtics' amazing 26 point playoff comeback versus the Nets, where they fed off the frenzied home crowd to get it done. It is triply amazing that the Clips could come back from a 31 point deficit, in an away game, against one of the best teams of all time.

I haven’t seen a win probability chart like this since the pats Super Bowl.

That was just insane. The Clippers just outscored the Warriors 72-37 since midway through the third. At Oracle. Holy crap...

94-63 Warriors with 7:31 left in the third quarter. 72-37 run for the Clippers.

Giving up 72 points in 19:23 is obviously ridiculous.
