Thanks @Dummy Hoy Good luck to your Owls. Ever since Sir John sold the club Reading has been a spiral. I'm really hopeful they manage to pull out before it goes full Bury.I thought of you @thehitcat when writing that. Best of luck- shit owners are no fun.
I watch matches pretty often as someone who likes to track the US guys down there, but I'm not locked into any specific team enough to really get into the meat of discussing it.Time for a bump.
In the anti-DH Yorkshire derby, Leeds bested Sheffield United 2-0, which I can only guess is his preferred result, short of both squads being shot into the heart of the sun.
That leaves them level on points at the top of the table, with Sunderland. West Brom, Burnley and Watford are all right there as well. Early days for sure, but things are starting to settle out.
I know it's not as skilled as the Premier League, nor as predictable, but I'm surprised there's so little interest on SoSH.
I enjoy the league but between most kickoffs starting at the same time as premier league and the spotty tv coverage, the league can get lost in the shuffle.Time for a bump.

Yeah, it's distinctly not looking good for the Hoops right now. They've not been good for awhile now, yet they always seem to do just enough by the end of the season to stay up. Like being chased by a bear, you don't have to be faster than it, just faster than (three of) your friends. We suck. I don't understand. This is the most convinced I have been we are going down.
We may have finally found something. 3-0 home win against a competitive 10th place Norwich squad. 2-0-1 in our last 3. And I think out of the relegation zone, for now.Nice…you guys are better than this. Cardiff is awful, shocking lack of finishing from Wednesday when we played them recently.
And sure enough, Stoke was putrid, and the visibility perhaps worse. Our heroes in Blue and White went down 0-3 at the half at Boro. But having a special manager seems to make a difference as they dominated the second half, tying the game at 3 and somehow failing to finish the job. Only one pint from the game but a lot of continuing momentum and positivity from the owls. Pigs losing at home to Burnley really makes this Boxing Day
Edit: Leeds could go top with a win this afternoon v. Putrid Stoke.

Well, got the 3 but wish they had done a bit more to help differential. Oh well. Either way, up to 12th and stunningly closer to the playoff than the relegation zone. Doubtful this form continues but nice to see they are capable of it.You will, they’re a mess.
After the last few seasons, mid-table mediocrity is a welcome respite
Long may this run continue. I made it over to Loftus Road last year and had a great time. I talked to a few guys who said they couldn't get their kids to come to the games anymore (average age at the ground was 60+) because they have been so bad, hopefully their kids are interested again!Another 3 points today on the road. What an incredible run. 9th in the table. 4 points from the playoff. Wow

Bucket list for me. Would love to make it there.Long may this run continue. I made it over to Loftus Road last year and had a great time. I always recommend that people visiting London check to see if they are playing when they are there. The ground is very walkable from the Central Line and there are a few great geezer pubs to grab pints at before hand. The whole experience is a throwback in the best way.Bucket list for me. Would love to make it there.
