It's been a while but a methodical, if not a complete, win.

But bah humbug. NE completes 10 years of AFCE dominance. That deserves some game balls!
  • OL: carves up a pretty good Buffalo D
  • Secondary: not a fair match but still does its job against Josh Allen
  • The Experiment: Patterson gives spark to the offense getting hurt
If the Eagles hold on against Houston, NE is back as the #2 seed.

Merry X-mas y'll!

P.S. Looks like the Eagles might be blowing a 13 point lead in the 4th quarter. F*ck. < Nope. Eagles win and Pats are in a great position for a bye.

Holy hell is this a spoiled fanbase.

Ugly wins are wins, of course there are things to worry about but more than half an hour after the game and not a single serious post after the OP?

Both front lines played great.
Edelman was solid catching and on the punt return, but he needs to clean up the penalties.
Michel had a great game.

Edit: RW posted while I was writing, so there was one serious post.

Ryan Allen had a tremendous game.
Sony
Interior OL, Trent Brown got beat a few times so no GB for him.
DL for keeping Allen in the pocket, secondary esp Jason McCourty for the key strip and JC for the sweet INT.

Calm down. Eventually every player that didn't vomit on the field will be named in this thread. It's not going to hurt anyone's feelings if I try to make an unfunny joke about how it was an ugly game.

And, geez, there were 2 joking posts. You seem sensitive. Look at my sig. I'm on the bandwagon til it careens into the ditch.

I'm fine and I've seen enough of your posts to realize that you aren't one of the reactionary types.
I have no problem with jokes(though as noted it wasn't really funny :) ), I just found it very odd that there were no posts with actual content that long after the game was over.

- Running game was amazing
- Overall defense
- Special shout out to JC Jackson, a rookie UDFA getting major playing time for a playoff-bound team. Hard to believe this is the same guy who couldn't get out of his own way in preseason, but BB has stuck with him

Concerned about Brady and Patterson health

It’s a holiday weekend, and i’d expect many people aren’t glued to their computer 1 hour after a game in which NE was favored by almost 2 TDs.

OL gets the game ball.

Philly for beating Houston.

It's Christmas. Pats most likely will go 11-5 & secure a first round bye. 10th straight Divisional Championship. As healthy as one can hope at this time of the year.

All's good.

OL and running backs for 273 yards rushing.
Whoever forced the fumble that Malcom Brown recovered.
JC Jackson for the interception
Gilmore for knocking down two potential TD passes.

The O-Line. This unit has been oddly inconsistent this season, but has thoroughly dominated some supposedly good opposing units. If the group is rounding into beast form, they could carry the team on a run just by keeping opposing offenses off the field.

They have been really good in the run game sometimes. Not so much in the passing game.
They were outstanding today in the run game.

And special game ball to whoever kept Brady from killing Brian Hoyer when he was sent in with over six minutes to go.

JMac was great on D, factoring into two turnovers. Slater had some impact plays on ST. Edelman was basically the only bright spot in the passing game and also had a big punt return. The run blocking was terrific.

You must chill.

Many people were watching the Eagles-Texans game, which went till like 4:45 and carried a lot of implications for us. You want a quality post in the thread, and they're not coming fast enough for your coked-out, F5-mashing brain, then just write one. I realize it's in vogue to call all fans of high-achieving teams "spoiled", but that's a pretty stupid standard on which to base your insult.

- Jason McCourty really stood out in the secondary, even more for the passes defensed than the INT (which nevertheless was incredibly athletic), but really the whole secondary played balls-out
- You can't have a team rushing game like that without a game ball to the OL
- Edelman
- the DEs kept contain really well, forcing Allen or runners back inside on a number of occasions where that would have seemed the inconvenient choice, but they did their job and we cleaned up what might otherwise have become big gainers
