Has this show gotten any better? I’m glad that Fitzy isn’t on it anymore stepping on every joke someone makes. I used to listen daily, haven’t listened in a year now but was thinking of giving it a shot without Fitzy

I listened last week for the first time since March. I popped it on a few times through the week as I was in my car in the mornings. I heard:

- Greg complain about Salem closing for Halloween and how unamerican the shutdowns are and freedom and *click*

- Wiggins trying to explain how the Patriots *click*

Yeah... just awful.

So basically it's still KKKCallahan in the morning (a lighter version perhaps)?

The current show sucks because of Wiggy. Hill had a good morning show on WAAF, surrounded by funnier people like Danielle, Mike Hsu, and Lyndon Byers. This version, with Chris Curtis talking too much and Wiggy vomiting over everything, is inferior.

I wouldn't go that far. Greg Hill is a moderate Republican (not the Callahan-level firebrand) and I think he's playing to the listeners here. That isn't a defense of his comments, mind you.

Like I said, I haven't listened to almost any radio since March, but this is my opinion as well. The WAAF version wasn't bad. They had terrific chemistry for the most part and produced a moderately entertaining show. Wiggins will wreck anything he's involved with (honestly, he's in Adam Jones territory for me where I'll immediately change the station when I hear his voice), and he was on so much that I just ... hardly flipped over to WEEI.

I didn't mind Wiggy so much when he was part time on the show but now that he is fulltime it seems to have gone to his head. Over talks everyone and it just becomes unlistenable. I have to admit I miss Fitzy a couple days a week just to keep Wiggy's ego in check to a certain degree. Sadly, T+R aren't much better, so there isn't much available.

Danielle announced today that Friday is her last day on the show.

Her choice, pursing other opportunities outside of radio.

Looks like Courtney Cox of NESN gets the Murr spot on the show. She probably has more followers on Twitter than she will have listeners at this point.

I don’t usually listen, so anyone who does: are Greg Hill and Curtis anti-vaxxers or something? They’re having Ben Volin on and are eviscerating him over his Newton vaccine column. I usually loathe Volin, but I am on his side here. Hill and Curtis sound like uneducated morons.

I wouldn't go as far to say they are anti-vaxers, but both are unvaccinated. Hill has had Covid though, so I'm guessing he feels like he already has the antibodies so why bother.

Yes, he did. What's your point?
I misread your original post, in my mind I read your point as both Hill and Cam not getting the jab, not Curtis. My point was Cam's reasoning was probably the same as Hill's in that they both had Covid.

Volin's a troll, and trying to shame people for not getting the jab yet is shitty.

Shaming people for not taking the smallest of efforts to help stop the deadliest pandemic in a century is the opposite of shitty. We should shame everyone who hasn’t gotten it (that’s eligible and doesn’t have medical reasons not to get it).

Ben Volin is an idiot but he’s 100% correct here, if he’s going after the unvaccinated.

I feel like a lot of the issue with Volin's article (besides the fact that Volin is in general terrible) is we have no idea if Cam is vaxxed or not right. Or did I miss something beyond him just not answering a question about it.

Honestly I haven’t read anything by Volin in a long time. I’m just responding to the notion that we shouldn’t pressure or shame the unvaccinated.

I disagree with your post but with That said, I don’t think Volin is in the right here as we don’t know if he’s vaccinated. Mac Jones answered basically the same way but didn’t try to “gotcha” the reporter like Cam did. Cam looked like a fool when he pulled the reverse on the reporter and asked him if he was vaccinated which the reporter quickly said yes I am. Mistake made by Cam.

Vaccine antibodies appear to be significantly better than community acquired antibodies.

I don’t know about “shaming” but I agree that there is a danger to not challenging, and to normalizing, opinions that run counter to science and logic.
