The one he ripped down behind his head while fighting off the opposing player was tremendous.Josh Jackson is a monster on the offensive glass.

He really is a special athlete. He is quicker and stronger to the ball than anybody in recent memory. The one he ripped down behind his head while fighting off the opposing player was tremendous.
Agreed, he steps right in and does things for the team from day one, with quite a bit of upside. He and Smart together would be just unfair. He is a lot like the Klaw to me. If the Cs have a shot at him or Ball, I want Jackson.
I'm with you on this. He might even be ahead of Fultz for me. Not many 6'8 guys are that athletic, skilled, and have his awareness at his age. Plus he's a 2 way player. He is a lot like the Klaw to me. If the Cs have a shot at him or Ball, I want Jackson.
Really? Not even similar universes to me.Josh Jackson is really a thing? Dude looks like a Kent Bazemore type.
Thats not Josh Jacksons floor, thats Josh Jacksons 3mile underground doomsday bunkerJosh Jackson is really a thing? Dude looks like a Kent Bazemore type.
I'm a Bazemore fan, I went to ODU.Josh Jackson is really a thing? Dude looks like a Kent Bazemore type.
Yeah, I'm kind of with you HRB. The only thing I could see is that they use one of Crowder or Jaylen in a deal if an All-Star-type became available in the offseason. If Danny thinks Jackson can be better than Jaylen, he could include Jaylen in a deal for someone like Butler if he were to become available. I suppose the same thing could be said about our guards if we were to draft Fultz or Ball, but it would give Danny a lot of options on the trade market.Jackson has alligator arm syndrome (pretty certain Fultz has greater length) that doesn't show up in the college game but he offsets that with a KG-like intensity. I like the players approach but I don't like his fit with the Celtics as Jaylen is set to take over for Crowder at the 3 within the next 18 months. Where would that leave Jackson? His skillset screams 4 but he's very short with little wingspan to be elite at that position. Ball and Jackson could be the two best players out of this draft but are the worst fits for us........Ainge has some big decisions to make this summer and if the choice is a bad 19-year old fit and a present day All-Star he may choose to make the trade. This is a big turning point for the franchise.
Jackson would have the same position that Brown currently has now and would be able to play some two so that hedges against Bradley or Smart leaving / not being resigned / being traded.Jackson has alligator arm syndrome (pretty certain Fultz has greater length) that doesn't show up in the college game but he offsets that with a KG-like intensity. Maybe they value Jaylen more. Or maybe Danny told them that the pick is off the table. Plenty of reasons whyIf the Trade was for Butler, and the prevailing wisdom was that Jackson > Jaylen, then why wouldnt Chicago ask for the Pick + as opposed to Jaylen +?
Yes, you're right. But why would you assume that at this point? JB is at 33% as a 20 year old rookie and his shot looks good. He's clearly been working at it.You don't need a true lineup but having both of your backcourt players shooting <.330 from 3 is going to cause as much nightmares for the Celtics offense as it does opposing defenses.
I was referring to Marcus Smart. You wouldn't be able to play the two together if Jackson is mediocre from 3. Spacing would be a huge problem.Yes, you're right. Right. I just corrected my post. Thanks.Tatum? Duke was eliminated last weekend.
Tatum didn't even get to the sweet 16. Saw your edit, sorry for the pile on.He finished with 10 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 assists...plus some impressive defense. But, yeah, he started really slow and did not make a difference in the game.
So, Ball is gone. Jackson is gone. Fultz is history. Tatum, we hardly knew you.
Are Fox and Monk the only ones of the possible top picks still going?
Ha. Go ahead. A cyber pile on means zip. I just go get a good beer. (Rochforte 10 is usually a good one for such moments.)Tatum didn't even get to the sweet 16. Saw your edit, sorry for the pile on.

Uh, no?Small sample sizes are cool in basketball then?
If ever there were a place to pay attention to small sample sizes, evaluating one-and-dones who will match up against future NBA talent only a couple times in that one season seems like the time for it.Small sample sizes are cool in basketball then?
