Irvin and teamate Erik Williams were falsely accused of rape by some batshit-crazy topless dancer. It's quite understandable that he isn't among the tar & feather 'em crowd.PaulinMyrBch said:Also way back to when he was arrested on the charge where he was falsely accused. I don't remember the actual charge, but I remember the video of him leaving jail and reporters swarming his car. He was telling them he was innocent and that he wanted the same coverage, same reporting when the charge gets dropped. He said something like "report it the same way, that you did when I was arrested, same headline that you did, front page like you did..." I thought that was classic.

A random media observation: I'm not sure what he's been like on air since I don't watch ESPN, but Mortensen has been dead silent about deflategate on twitter and other online media since the Wells Report came out (and actually for months before that as well). He clearly knows that he got sold a bill of goods by his NFL source. I wonder whether he's a secret good guy at this point but has decided to just wash his hands of the whole affair.

Based on the Wells Report, I thought this case was closed. But the Patriots have now made clear there is another side to this story.
Although I chuckled when I heard on the news that McNally’s incriminating description of himself as the “deflator” referred to his effort to lose weight, when I read the Goldberg Report’s full explanation I found it very credible.
Asked what he would say to those who believe Brady is a cheater, Light, who played with Brady for 11 years, replied, "Well, you can say whatever you want in this world until you get punched in the mouth. things change at that point, right?"
They did a nice good guy representation against the frothing Mad Dog this morning. Shockingly Mad Dog hasn't read the report.Koufax said:Dennis / Callahan / Minehane are coming around to believing the Patriots and Brady. Nothing could put them in the "good guy" category generally for me, but it is an interesting development.
Light is going to be on the entire episode of Zolak and Bertrand today. Should be fun.Dick Pole Upside said:
Who would take anyone who calls himself "Mad Dog" after the age of 15 seriously anyway?jimbobim said:They did a nice good guy representation against the frothing Mad Dog this morning. Shockingly Mad Dog hasn't read the report.
"And the whole Brady thing, I'm not mad at Tom," Horn said. "He's a great athlete and he does what he needs to do to win the football game. If he deflated balls and the guys did for him, I'm not mad at Tom for that. Guys do things all the time to get ahead that the NFL doesn't know about."

You should read the entire interview first. He calls for Belichick's head because he had to know about it.
