deep inside Guido territory
Denver comes into this game at 1-3 having lost close games to Tennessee and Pittsburgh, got blown out by TB, and beat the Jets last Thursday. So, they'll be coming in here with 10 days to prepare and the Pats on a short week. It looks like Brett Rypien will get the start as Drew Lock isn't ready yet and Rypien made enough throws against the Jets to not call on Blake Bortles. They are dealing with injuries as well. Noah Fant sprained his ankle against the Jets and is unlikely to play. Courtland Sutton is out for the season. AJ Bouye is also unlikely to play. Phillip Lindsay should be back to form a tandem with Melvin Gordon. Their top passing weapons this week should be rookies Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler along with Tim Patrick.

If Cam starts this week, it should be a relatively easy win. If not, that's a different story.

If Gilmore is out there, it's because he's been deemed non-contagious by the doctors and medical staff, regardless of if he's still testing positive. From my understanding, contagiousness is more about onset and duration of symptoms. If you're asymptomatic, it's about duration of time after the initial positive test.

This is from almost five months ago, but seems like it's accepted science now.

Of course Gordon will play. Sending him home from practice was the "punishment" and it showed how super serious the Broncos are taking his reckless actions. They're more than happy to kick the can to the courts and the NFL. They might even give Lindsey the first couple of totes or even the first quarter to reinforce just how seriously they're taking the matter.

Maybe, but have we had many "leaks" regarding test results so far? Seems like most have come through semi-official channels like Schefter.

Feels like if this game can’t get played, it breaks the schedule’s back without adding an additional week.

It has become very clear throughout this process that BB is taking COVID far more seriously than the NFL and thinks its more important to be safe than play football.
And for that, he is to be fined $200,000 and the Pats surrender their 3rd round pick.

They are going to have to have a week 18 and 19 if things continue like this - assuming the Pats game has to be postponed

Good for Belichick.

Doubt the NFL will postpone the game if it's just the one positive test.

Without a bubble, increasing cases in the community is going to bleed over to more positives for NFL players/coaches, it's inevitable.

The best chance for a full season was having low community spread in the country overall, but things aren't looking good with 60k positive cases just yesterday.

If that number keeps going up it's going to be a very messy schedule for the rest of the year. A shortened or unequal schedule (going by winning percentage?) with a bubble for the playoffs might be the only chance.
