Phenomenal back check by Kelly on that play as well (and Miller played it well). Great game for Kelly tonight.

Yes, Philly probably scores on the rebound if not for Kelly.  Miller, Rask, Kelly all did their jobs.

Has he done enough to warrant a spot when Seidenberg is back? I'm on the bandwagon big time.

At this point, the only guys who have done well enough to warrant a spot when Seidenberg gets back are Chara, Krug, and McQuaid.  C Miller might have a shot because he's a puckmover and plays the right side.  I think he's less of a project than Morrow - who I think will have a more of a learning curve.

In the shorter term, I think I'd like to see Trotman get another look, in for K Miller.  I didn't care for the way Miller backed in on Philly's second goal and I'm skeptical that he's any more than a 3rd pair guy.  I think Trotman warrants a longer look than one game paired with Matt Irwin.

I don't know how excited i will get for this team if they continue to have competent or better second periods.  I'm not used to this after the last two seasons.
Beggars can't be choosers.  Take it when they give it.

Kevan Miller's had a surprisingly good start to the season, but he'd be my choice to sit if/when Seidenberg comes back.

Is it time to start admitting that Sweeney has put together a pretty good offense?

Also, Claude, once again, proves that he is willing to change his style depending on the players he has.

Slow start to the season and the defense is below average, but there is a lot to like about this team.

I think that one may need to be reviewed. Looked like his glove may have been in the net.

When the net is open like that you're just shooting to the space. Biggest crime is missing the net there not having it saved which is just a crazy good play by their goalie

This is what we've signed up for, folks. You want to play young, offensive minded players, gotta take the good with the bad.

I'm ok with it, gonna make for an entertaining year. But buckle up for the rest of the season.

Colin Miller has been excellent.

Kevan Miller has been awful.

Together they make an average Miller.

No idea what Clode does, but I'd probably go

Marchand/Bergeron/Eriksson
Krejci/Pastrnak/Krug
Spooner/Connolly or Hayes/C. Miller

We are the Dallas Stars. 5-4 every night. Embrace it.
A lot of folks were wishing for this.

I'm starting to appreciate the how much I took for granted the past teams defensive prowess.

I think if they can keep their head above water until they can pull off a deal for a true #2 then they have a great shot. They're only one more top for defenseman from being respectable on defense.
