Yes I can't imagine a guy as PR-savvy as Brady would mention Michigan, Alex Guerrero, everyone in the Bucs organization by name, the folks at TB12, the mailman, and his third grade teacher, but completely leave out the frigging Patriots, which is where he became TOM BRADY.I have to believe something is in the works because if it isn’t , it’s pretty screwed up. He mentioned every other part of his playing career, including Michigan, but no mention of the biggest part.
Oh stop. The day the guy retires from football and he doesn't mention the place he played for 20 of his 22 years? That's really messed up.Didn't he express plenty of gratitude to the Pats and fans when he left? How many times does he need to thank the Pats? The entitlement among Boston fans is unreal.
Oh stop? I mean, will you be okay?Oh stop. The day the guy retires from football and he doesn't mention the place he played for 20 of his 22 years? That's really messed up.
To have the 24-hour news stations asking if he hates the Pats? He's retiring from the Bucs, not the Pats, and he already said his thank you's and goodbye's when he left the Pats. There will be plenty of time for him to be honored in Foxboro. I can see why he did it this way.
And no one will remember this instaface post in two months.I know he played for Tampa for 2 years, but way too much thanking of Tampa and not a single mention of New England. I know he already thanked people, but no one will remember you were a Buc in 20 years so stop pretending they matter.
Yes, I know I sound like a jilted ex...
Completely agree. I think he knows going forward so much of the talk/legacy/etc is going to be Patriots-centric. I think he's doing right by the Bucs while he still can. He's retiring from the Bucs, not the Pats, and he already said his thank you's and goodbye's when he left the Pats. There will be plenty of time for him to be honored in Foxboro. I can see why he did it this way.
I mean, yeah, the sports talk shows and other talking idiots in the media will run with it. Which is why you should know you are overreacting if this bothers you. Even if he and BB aren't exactly on the best of terms, does anyone really think that Brady doesn't have fondness for the Krafts and his time in New England? I mean, c'mon. To have the 24-hour news stations asking if he hates the Pats?
It's weird.
I'm entitled to my opinion and I think it's messed up. Thanks though.Oh stop? I mean, will you be okay?
He thanked the Pats when he left and it seems extremely likely there's more to come with Brady and NE. I mean, take 10 seconds and *think* about this. Do you *really* think he's not going to acknowledge the Patriots or their fans?
The fact that he didn’t mention the pats is getting picked up by national news organizations not just local sports radio trolls. I just have to disagree with you on this but also think something is in the works (as previously mentioned)Oh stop? I mean, will you be okay?

WHO GIVES A SHIT "WHAT THE 'STORY" IS?" AND WHY DO YOU SO GIVE?It’s weird to mention Michigan and not New England. He has kids running his social media who are amazing at their job - do you think none of them pointed out to him not mentioning the Pats is gonna be the story?
It doesn't matter and I won't care once I have something else to think about other than spreadsheets, but for a man who is all about controlling everything to put out a lengthy statement thanking lots of people but not his old team and fans is a mistake. Unless he wanted people talking about the omission to create a story, it's weird.I mean, yeah, the sports talk shows and other talking idiots in the media will run with it. Zo and Bertrand are already trashing him.To have the 24-hour news stations asking if he hates the Pats?
It's weird.
Good I hope that's all they talk about. I am most happy when stupid people act stupidly to further demonstrate their stupidness. The fact that he didn’t mention the pats is getting picked up by national news organizations not just local sports radio trolls. I just have to disagree with you on this but also think something is in the works (as previously mentioned)
My point is, it’s unavoidable that not mentioning NE would be a disproportionate amount of the conversation today. I am 100% positive that that’s either clear to TB because he’s a smart guy or because the smart people he pays pointed it out to him. As such, he wouldn’t have done so unless he wanted that noise. (Or unless there is more to come sooner than later.)WHO GIVES A SHIT "WHAT THE 'STORY" IS?" AND WHY DO YOU SO GIVE?
I would hope something else is in the works. Either there is something really wrong between him and the organization or he plans something else. The fact that he didn’t mention the pats is getting picked up by national news organizations not just local sports radio trolls. I just have to disagree with you on this but also think something is in the works (as previously mentioned)
They're asking the same questions this thread is. And saying they're disappointed in him if this is an intentional snub. Given the stuff Tom Sr. said the past couple of years, it's a reasonable question. Does it really matter? No. I hope he shows up for his number retirement ceremony and gets a 10 minute standing O sometime next season.Zo and Bertrand are already trashing him.
If they drafted Deebo, Tom would’ve thanked them again. The Patriots drafted N’Keal Harry for Tom. I’d be pissed too.
Joe Theismann already did that.It would have been funny if he waited an extra day and upstaged the WFT name announcement.
As a DC local, I would have loved it.It would have been funny if he waited an extra day and upstaged the WFT name announcement.
I know this is what, 99%, tongue in cheek, but there's simply no way he wants to go into coaching. He's spent enough time away from his family already.Any interest in being an offensive coordinator? Asking for a local team.
Not sure if it got deleted, but they had a statement from Kraft out there on Saturday, I believe. No word from the Pats social media accounts yet makes me think something is in the works. Let the Bucs fans have a day.
This is def. possible, perhaps even likely. No word from the Pats social media accounts yet makes me think something is in the works. Let the Bucs fans have a day.
100%No word from the Pats social media accounts yet makes me think something is in the works. Let the Bucs fans have a day.
Why does everything have to be a conspiracy?
JE11 is all over social media promoting Patriot forever shirts and sweatshirts with Brady's face wearing the minuteman hat.100%
he doesn’t mention Michigan other than in the context of how long he’s known Don Yee and the other attorney. It’s a very Tampa centric at the beginning - understandably as it’s his current gig.No one's going to lose sleep over it. But you have to be pretty tone deaf to not think this comes off weird, and petty. This is more encompassing than just a "Thanks Tampa" letter, this is a retirement speech. He just lays it on so thick thanking every individual he met in Tampa, agents, family, Michigan, etc and doesn't mention a word about New England, or the beginning 90% of his career. The contrast is too stark to not be intentional.
