I dont think Marron is the best interviewer, but hes gotten some surprising and candid interviews over the years. I think the combination of the long form, the environment (one on one in a garage), and self-deprecation put some people at ease. I'd like to see him give Brady a go.
His interview with Hunter Biden this week was really good. He had plenty of skepticism in his intro, both of Hunter's innocence and long term sobriety, and he didn't demure. It was eerie how much he sounds like his dad (with a smoker's rasp).

Oral history of Gronk's college years:

The 'monster' from Club G: An oral history of Rob Gronkowski's Arizona years – The Athletic

But Rob loved his visit here. He loved the weather. And I think there were a lot of other things that I won’t go into detail that he loved, but they were usually walking around with not a lot on.
It was literally the first day of practice, going into my fourth year during team period. Stoops walks up and stands in front of us. He points at Gronkowski and says, “Put him in.” And that exact moment was the end of our playing careers.

Yeahhh, I was there about 10 years before Gronk. I'm always surprised we can't recruit a competent football team. It's a pretty great place to go to college.

I worked with a kid who was an offensive lineman at Arizona while Gronk was there and he claims the back injury was due to the slip and slide, not from lifting weights.

Speaking of fun guys, George Kittle was interviewed just now on Good Morning Football (Nate Burleson, Kyle Brandt, etc.). They came around to asking him what does he think about the possibility of players being able to choose from a wider array of numbers; maybe Kittle would like #11 for example. So George says "I have to quote what Mr. Tom Brady said about this." Mr. Tom Brady! Hadn't heard him called that before. What Kittle said Tom said was that if this came about it could confuse defenses more because they'd have a tougher time sorting types of receivers coming at them by the numbers they're wearing. Back to what Kittle called him, I'm sure Tom would say "Mr. Tom Brady is my father. Call me Tom."

Gronk’s the best. I was so happy he was healthy enough to show out in the Super Bowl. After all he’s been through coming back from injuries and surgeries over his career, he deserved it.

I have a feeling he’s going to be cheered every time he makes a catch against the Pats in Foxboro this season

Chris Simms ranks Brady as 10th all-time (just behind Dak Prescott). Though the clickbait hot-take of an incompetent boob like Simms is essentially irrelevant, the amount of saltiness and gall that takes is incalculable.

More motivation for SB title #8.

I'll give Simms credit, his hatred of everything TB12 has been quite consistent over the years.

Aside from that, he is a nincompoop.

Wait, what? Chris Simms *truly* ranks Tom Brady behind DAK PRESCOTT on his all-time QB list? That cannot possibly be right. Maybe behind Prescott in his 2021 outlook, but all-time? Not humanly possible. Link please, because *this* I gotta see.

It's for 2021. It is not all time.

Note, Sims had Brady 15th heading into 2020.

Ranking Brady 10th for the coming season isn't crazy, but Dak shouldn't be ahead of Brady until he shows a recovery from his snapped ankle.

Ok that makes a heck of a lot more sense. And who knows - he may be right for 2021. I was thinking that Simms sure has an ax to grind against Brady, but that would have been absurd to the Nth degree.

It wouldn’t take much slippage for that to be an absurd take given how much top QB talent is in the league, and it’s gonna happen one of these years.

I would be ‘really surprised’ if Mahomes wasn’t a top five QB this year, I would not be if 44 YO Brady slips even if I’m not gonna put money down on it.

Broncos? I forget who was interested at the time, obviously we only have (probably inaccurate) rumors to go off of. Raiders?

I would watch 12 hours of that episode of The Shop. Great stuff. TB12's bit on saying good things about shitty DB's was fucking hilarious.

It also made me think there's a chance he's gonna go scorched earth on the league once he's done. I surely hope so.

It is crazy how much he’s come out of his shell since he left the Pats. Ever since his Armchair Expert interview it seems.

Felger thought it was the Bears. Gasper reported that the Bears were in at one point and then bailed. Mitch would fit the “That M-Fer” criteria.
That was my initial thought, but he didn't play well against Bears and think it would be weird to tell that story knowing it didn't happen.

That's a good point. Felger was also saying that was the game where Brady seemed particularly agitated and it was also the game where he lost track of the downs. Maybe he feels more comfortable telling that story in a year where he wins the Super Bowl.

Leaving in a bit to the studio :)
On a lighter note:

Tom Brady has a notoriously strict diet. Tom Brady nevertheless will endorse Subway, one of the most prevalent fast-food purveyors in the nation.

Terry Lefton of Sports Business Journal reports that Brady has never even entered a Subway, which has more than 22,000 locations in the United States alone. Brady’s TV ad, which will debut later this month, also reportedly will not show Brady holding Subway products, per Lefton.

The Subway endorsement deal nevertheless represents an attempted pivot by Subway back to the perception that it’s a healthier alternative to other fast-food options. It’s also an effort to beat back competition from sub chains like Jersey Mike’s; Subway, according to Lefton, reportedly has closed “thousands” of stores over the past three years.
