After 98.5 the sports hub started broadcasting in Boston, D&C show has repeatedly finishes #2 in morning radio. As a result on a but hurt rant on twitter on 1/25/2014 he publicly called out 2 of the Toucher and Rich hosts to a fight.

It's just bizarre. Callahan keeps saying he's done taking their shit for the last two years, but I've seen nothing from T&R and have heard Callahan go off the deep end on numerous occasions.
 
Either Fred&Rich are great at needling him behind the scenes, or Callahand is a psychotic, thin skinned twat. It's probably a little of both.
 
I really hope WEEI does something aobut Callahan, because the guy sucks and he's out of control.

Yeah around 750 I think. Rich made a trailer for a movie about it. I only caught pieces of it since work called in the middle of it.

Fred thought it was rude to call him ugly since Fred knows he's ugly and Dino was rubbing it in.

Fred basically said that he thought it was an absolute riot while he was at the beer summit. He and all of his friends were having a chuckle at "Grandpa" picking fights with people. Not sure where the vitriol came form because they've said nothing about D&C in forever. Brought up the irony of D&C calling Sherman a thug as Dennis threatened physical violence on opposing radio hosts.
 
He and Rich then basically said they didn't even want to talk about it, because they didn't want Dennis getting in trouble since the best thing that can happen to T&R is for WEEI to keep Dennis on the air for the rest of their career (because he sucks at his job...get it?)
 
All in all, a pretty succinct ass whooping, followed by a fake movie trailer of the "John Dennis fight club".

The douche chills were off the charts when he was talking about how he was peddling his screenplays to every hollywood person he's ever come across, including a fake interview he did in order to throw it at Bruce Willis. I've always hated Tanguay generally, i'm glad to know that my radar was properly tuned to pick up on how loathsome he is.

I actually came here to post something similar. I flipped it on quick and heard the interview with Trenni from Sochi and holy hell it was terrible. Though as KFP pointed out it was interesting in a car crash sort of way.
I didn't stay long enough to hear who he was replacing but I mainly just wanted to come on here to verify it was only as a fill in.
 
I find it amazing that he can be employed for his opinion at all. I know he has those pipes but just let him read a few things and don't subject us to his idiocy.

I don't know much about her, but I've enjoyed listening to Trenni Kusnierek on T&R. She seems kinda fun with a good sense of humor, but there's only so much one can say about the sport of curling.

Today he doubled down, stating outright that the only people who care have a direct connection to the team. I get they can't cover all sports and I don't want them to give lip service to things they don't really care about no matter the size and scale (for example, I won't be turning to them this summer for World Cup updates), but don't shit on people who care about a sport just because you don't.

Typical Gomes interview, but I did learn he's apparently good buddies with Richie Incognito, a "great guy and football player", and he did his best to avoid coverage of the Incognito story. Credit to Gomes for loyalty, I guess.

They had a bunch of good guests on this week including Boychuck, Millar and Gomes in addition to their normal run , had a few new bits about the combine which were OK etc. It wasn't the best week of the show, but it wasn't awful. 
 
Rich's a bit busy with his wife getting a bone marrow transplant so I think he's not 100% into doing bits off hours for some reason.

This was brought up in the WEEI thread but strange week for this show. They aren't cut out to discuss NFL Free Agency for 3 full days. Rich seemed more upset about Talib leaving for the soundbites and is lobbying for Steve Smith for the same reason. And Fred doesn't seem to understand that fans can be sad about Wilfork leaving and still understand it's what is best for the team. He says he understands that people can feel this way and every one that's called in has been reasonable in explaining. But he's fishing twitter and facebook comments for the lunatic fringe and then railing against them for some reason.
 
They usually don't stoop to this and it's like he's just looking for someone to rant against. Hopefully he comes back from vacation refreshed and there are better things for them to talk about
