Ask a Pink Hat was legendary today. Holy hell.

That was brutal, she couldn't even tell you what a run was. Also she was wearing a Papelbon jersey and said he was her favorite and could not even tell you what position he played. She claimed he was the first baseman.

I find it really funny that the Herald posts such a thing around the same time that the Globe reported Dennis and Callahan are no longer #1 for sports radio talk in the 6-10am target Boston demographic. In overall area ratings, they're #10, and Toucher and Rich are #3. In other words, Toucher and Rich are kicking D+C's asses.

You also gotta love slimeball commentary that's clearly an effort to scratch the back of slimeball Herald contributor/ballwasher Gerry Callahan. Shows how scared EEI has become of 98.5; they know they can't touch 98.5's quality of programming so instead of EEI reevaluating what they're delivering to their listeners they're trying to smear T+R.

When the time comes at EEI, D+C, at this rate, will not be renewed for anything close to what they think they're worth. They're falling at what seems like a stunning rate since T+R hit 98.5. Expect some dirty radio over the next few months from EEI (but what else is new?).

QUOTE
In the 6-10 a.m. block, The Sports Hub's "Toucher and Rich'' tied for third among male listeners 18-49 with a 5.5 share, while WEEI's "Dennis and Callahan'' was 10th at 4.2. In the previous two weeks in March, Dennis and Callahan were fifth (5.7) and sixth (5.5) respectively, while Toucher and Rich were eighth (5.2) and seventh (5.3).

Indeed.

I'm listening to the podcast now, and there is a Faster Guy at the top of the 7am hour.

Just when you thought you knew everything about Tim Tebow, a Boston sports radio station informed us that he is probably a Nazi.

The host was joking, but then so was Don Imus when he insulted Rutgers women's basketball team. CBS fired him. Will it do the same when the race-based insults are directed at Tebow?

Why do I get the feeling Tebow will be Denver's starting quarterback before Fred Toettcher is out of a job?

"Toucher," as he is known to his listeners on 98.5 The Sports Hub, had this observation on Tebow's draft-night gathering.

"It looked like some kind of Nazi rally ... so lily-white is what I'm trying to say. Yeah, Stepford Wives."

Come to think of it, I didn't see much diversity at the Tebow house. Maybe all that missionary stuff is just a cover, and his family has really spent years setting up a skinhead movement in the Philippines.

Failing that, CBS is on the hypocrisy clock.

It owns WBZ-FM, which is the flagship station of the Patriots and Bruins. Toettcher's not Imus, but the "Toucher and Rich Show" has some sway around New England.

Seems ridiculous to me, but then again, I didn't hear it live. Thoughts?

edit: woops, I see it was covered already.

Toucher apologized (begrudgingly?) at the end of the show today. He seemed irritated having to say it, and I suspect his producers had him do that to quiet the frothing retarded masses who are worried their Christian poster boy was being wronged.

My opinion? Tebow is a direct descendant of Adolf Hitler.

Have you ever seen Tebow and Hitler in the same room? I mean the facts are right there in front of you ladies and gentlemen. His first name's TIM, what do you get when you add an E to his name TIME. And who was one of the most notorious dictators of all TIME? Adolf Hitler. Last name is TEBOW. What was Adolf Hitler's favorite drink? TEA. What did people do in his prescense? BOWed.
Tebow had a draft PARTY. Who else liked (National Socialist) PARTIES? Adolf Hitler. I commend a patriot like Freddy T for being able to finally connect the dots of what the mass media has tried to hide from everyone for far too long.

Someone get me a got damn chalkboard because I'm the modern day Glenn Beck.

I was listening. I think Toucher was trying to say "Aryan Nation" which makes more sense and is a more socially acceptable metaphor. But he couldn't find the words in time, so it came out as "Nazi Party".

I didn't think too much of it. Wallach's reaction (30 seconds of backtracking and self-preservation) probably brought more attention to it that it deserved.

If you are the modern day Glenn Beck what does that make the guy with that name on TV?

I am in Tampa this week and the sports radio knucklehead here was saying if Imus got fired this guy should be fired as well. Seems like a awful big stretch for a stupid off the cuff remark.

I am looking forward to the "Downfall" parody with Hitler and Teabow in it, I won't be seeing it on Youtube though.

That link is gold.

But everyone needs to listen to the guy Adolfo interviewed after the Bruins game. Fucking hilarious. It was on the radio around 745 AM.

"They put a couple of biscuits in the basket", "They put it on the top shelf where my mom keeps the peanut butter and I hide my pornos"

That guy was pure comedy, but then again like Toucher said there's probably a thousand of those guys at a Bruins game...
I liked his buddy with the "It's Tricky" song homage to Tuukka. It's Tuu-Tuu-Tuu-Tuukka.

Yeah, that is literally every person at a Bruins game.

As someone who went to Games 3 and 4, I can confirm this statement. Nothing out of the ordinary there, yet still hysterical.

Ok, the Tuukka chant set to "It's Tricky" by Run DMC has potential. What a mob scene that must have been.

That was great radio. I'm so glad that after a huge Bruins win, we actually have a station that will talk about it. It was crazy after that game last night, and I think they caught it perfectly.

Any reason why yesterday's show wasn't podcasted? I heard the Ask a Pink Hat segment, but I wanted to hear the Gruden bits from the draft and the Faster Guy, but the show wasn't up as of late last night.

I'm kinda stunned that many late 20s to middleaged white men know a Run DMC song.

This from todays' mailbag was pretty damned funny too (for those who've never heard it these are read in a computer voice):

They did agree that the backhand had no chance of going in but still, funny.

Did they change what time they do the mailbag? I feel like I haven't heard it in a month and I'm in the truck by 730 every morning.

This was a pretty good bit and it sounds like they are going to do a few more soon. I can see this getting even better too with the way Jack was getting into it.

Among other stuff, today's show included "New Jack" Edwards, Rich's dead dog letter, Savard on the phone, and a Faster Guy movie review. This was a great day for T&R fans.

That movie review for "The human centipede?" Sounded as if it is the goriest movie ever made...

But agreed, the New Jack was hilarious

Fred after the Aaron Ward interview was the most I've laughed at the show lately, which is saying a great deal. "Baby, come back!"

That was a hall of fame of cheesy soft rock songs. Each song topped the previous one.

FWIW, when they had K-Tap on for her weekly interview they said they were going to e-mail her to do a new game idea, they were saying it was the most outrageous and funny idea yet.

I heard the Lackey "Manumanah" audio the other day and almost got into a car accident it was so funny. I've only heard it the one time. Have they played it much?
