I would have expected him to just get dropped by any sort of punch.  He was in the middle of singing "shipping up to Boston" (weird, I know) and they guy just hit him and ran.  Adolfo didn't really react when it happened.  He then ran around, looking for the cops

Better than I would have.

Basically he was doing a drunken recap and this guy just decides to go on a hate filled racist rant about how disgusting Adolfo is.  Fat, can't tell if a boy or girl, asian, etc...  Then he tries to grab his junk and Adolfo very calmly asks him what his problem is and the guy keeps going off.  Finally Adolfo gets fed up and starts making fun of the guy because he's wearing a skully cap and sings "shipping up to Boston" and the guy take a swing at him catches him in the face and knocks his glasses off and runs away.

Funniest part of the whole thing is Adolfo got a cop and asked him if he saw a guy in a skully cap and the cop say "yeah like a dozen" or something along those lines.

T&R then made a public plea to find out who this guy is.

Yes, that was very entertaining radio.  When he talked about going off to Hawaii on a whim to party with one other guy, 5 girls and no suitcases, and staying for a month, I was amazed.

I haven't been able to listen this morning, so apologies if this has come up in the show, but the bigger tragedy is that Damon Amendolara left in January. The amount of Amendolara/Amendola screw ups on that station would be consistently epic.

Wallach just said he'd be in favor of trading Lucic + 1st round pick + another pick for a rental of Iginla.

Based on the timing of your post, no he didn't.  He said he'd consider Lucic for Iginla but that Calgary is nuts if they think they are going to get anything more than Lucic for him.

Wallach said Calgary would want Lucic AND a first round pick and maybe more for Iginla. Which is just ridiculous.

I shut off the radio after listening to that crap.

Huh?  You turned off the radio because they are talking about trading Lucic and discussing what Calgary would want in return for Iginla?

I thought it was really good for the time I listened.

No, that was Roache. Wallach made the comment I posted above when I was listening

Pull up the podcast if you need to but Wallach absolutely did not advocate trading Lucic, plus a first rounder, plus add'l players for Iginla.  He said he might be in favor of Lucic for Iginla straight up but that Calgary would ask for Lucic, a first rounder and add'l.

I'm not a Wallach fan, but he's not a complete idiot either.  Hell when Johnston brought it up he immediately crapped on the idea of trading any of the top 6 forwards.

Wallach suggested Lucic 'plus'. I was listening during that segment, and while he was certainly saying something more than Lucic, he did not get into specifics as quoted above.

That idea of trading Lucic, however, is asinine to me straight up for Iginla. Wallach isn't bad, but that was stupid.

I'm kind of surprised that he never once mentioned the airline (or at least didn't when I was listening), I would have been all over them on twitter and facebook if that happened to me.

No way legal would let him do that.  Also, I am sure the said airline probably advertises on one of the CBS family of networks.

I heard the last part of it when I woke up, and just listened to the first part. Man, that was epic.

I'd love to know who the airline was. He doesn't mention it.

"Crown Room" + "Cincinnati" = DELTA

He repeatedly made mention of the "Crown Club" as the airline's lounge.  It's the Sky Club now, but Delta's lounge used to be called the Crown Room FWIW.

That was classic. Went on for 2 full segments.

I love how they kept trying to have "Doughy" Toucher flying by herself. No doubt it was Delta if they were making him fly through Cincy.

Tuned in around quarter of 7 today and was disappointed to hear them talking with Haggerty about Lackey double-fisting beers last year. Come on, there's plenty of better Red Sox stuff to talk about from yesterday.

I thought it was interesting that the Peter Gammons weekly segment will be on T&R this season instead of Felger & Mazz.  I remember Felger's voice dripping with disdain as he tried to end each call as quickly as possible last season.  :D

I heard some of the Gammons interview with T&R today ... it was just okay.

And that's not a criticism of T&R.  Gammons has lost his fastball.  I don't think he's criticized a player in five years.  He said today Jackie Bradley Jr. will "undoubtedly have a .400 OBP this year."  I'm excited about JBJ too, but wow ... that seems a bit outrageous.

Gammo was a pioneer, but in my opinion, there are close to two dozen national baseball guys who I would rather hear an interview with.

Did anyone else catch all the muffled laughter from at least Fred when Gammons said "Jay-Z will get a deal done"? It was pretty funny, it was clear they were trying not to burst out laughing after hearing him say Jay-Z.

Yes, that was funny when he said it. Like Jay-Z was some super agent or something...

I liked the interview. F&M and Gammo were just anathema to each other, and it was always painful and uncomfortable to listen. T&R gave Gammo the freedom to just talk without interuppting him every other sentence (like Felger), allowing him to spin his stories which I liked. Sure, he's really bullish on Bradley, but I felt the dynamic worked well. Add in the fact both TR and Gammo are knowledgeable when it comes to music and I just felt it was a much better fit.

I enjoyed it. I was actually late to work because I wanted to listen to the end of it.

There was distinct snickering.

Also, Gammo has been a Sox prospect-fucker since the days when he could touch 95 on the gun.  It's his blind spot (or tragic flaw, if this was a Greek play and a prospect ends up killing him).

Felger's a force so local media have to bow to him, but do any of you think that journalists or Cam Neely or whomever he gets on to his show have respect for him?  Gammons may have lost his fastball, but I wouldn't be surprised if he says to himself "why do I have to deal with this ill-informed douchebag when I can talk to someone else?" Among the guys who deal with him on radio/TV, of Tom Curran, Gammons, Mike Reiss, etc., how many of these guys respect his opinion or his schtick?  Frankly, I think they all treat him with thinly veiled contempt.  He's carved out his niche and it's a damn strong one, but I think his professional colleagues look at him with disdain.

I've been wondering for a while if the main reason Tony Mazz is on that show is because he's a "name" who will put up with him.

If you watch the CSNNE stuff with Felger, pretty much everyone outside of former players (towards whom he acts almost obsequious) seems like they want to kick his teeth in.

Listening this morning there was a moment when it was once again obvious what type of show this is. They come back from break and a Wallach update, Fred starts talking about opening day against the O's. He quickly mentions Chris Davis and Adam Jones hot starts. Wallach starts in about Jones (paraphrasing) "He's been great, talk about an amazing trade for them." When Rich interrupts with "How about you not talk about that, we have a bit to do."
cue the best of "Drunken Recaps".

It was just semi annoying that a legitimate and original "take" was squashed for the sake of a bit. Again, it just reinforced that this is not really a sports talk show
