He was getting after Wallach pretty good this weekend too. It was probably in good fun (and it is Wallach), but it was kind of weird without any context for why he blew up. Flynn is normally on in that hour I think, but he was on Friday since the Pats played Thursday.
Fred's been missing from the 6am hour. Odd timing for him to be missing, now the 7:03 bit is a repeat from last week. (which isn't abnormal)
I was listening from 6-6:40 and Rich said that Fred would be joining them after the 7:00 hour, but no mention why he was late.
I'd have to think that Rich would have mentioned that if that was why, instead he hasn't said shit.
Breaking update:
Fred's flight was delayed until early this morning, so they gave him the day off.

They should give him a podcast. He doesn't even have to do anything. Just put him in a room with a recorder and have Chad Finn yell out topics and let him talk. I could listen to his stories forever.
Also, Fred's absence was anticlimactic. Just some travel trouble. Funny rant but no issues at the station which is a good thing.

I cracked up when they started talking about DA's teeth again. I don't know what it is, but I just find it hysterical.
He started it yesterday talking to Anthony Costonzo he brought up the letter Chuck Pagano wrote to Rich's when she was sick last year. After the interview was done he used that as a jumping off point and slammed anyone in the media who didn't reach out to them when Rich was going through everything. Said he would never work with anyone who didn't reach out to them and that they have their fights on radio but that was real life and you put it all aside. Really good rant and you could tell he was legitimately fired up. Today was just a continuation of that. I think it was directed specifically at Minihane.
Yeah at the end of the show it continued during the crossover and he went directly at the EEI morning show

I find it hard to believe they were completely unaware of the situation and while it might have been a nice gesture to reach out to someone who does the same work as you when something serious like this happens I don't think it is something that must be done and I have no idea why it justifies a rant.

They didn't know? Chuck Pagano knew, but their main rivals didn't? Fred pretty much explained that when something bad happens in the radio community, it's normal for people to reach out. There's a lot of cross pollination between the stations because of the TV they do. I find it impossible they didn't know about Mary.

D&C have mentioned rich's situation when some were explaining why d&c were winning the ratings in august. It was brought up that rich was missing large swaths of time because he was caring for his wife.
