No!!!!!!!!!!!

@BenVolin: #Colts RB Trent Richardson not making the trip to New England due to personal reasons. Boom Herron played 68 of 75 snaps last week anyway

I feel badly for TR. Did he have any idea he could not cut it on this level?

There have been tons of NFL draft busts in the first round. Probably a dozen or more chosen 3rd overall. But a RB from Alabame chosen so high? How does that evaluation get screwed up? You run how you run; you either can block, or not, catch passes, or not.

Curtis Enis says hi, I suppose.

Tim Biakabatuka. Played 50 games in 6 seasons.

Two neat facts per wiki:

First RB with 2 TDs of over 60 yards in a game
Owns 3 Bojangles in Georgia

24 fucking hours.

He had a lot of injuries though. He was good when on the field.

Richardson has been mostly healthy but just terrible. It's pretty confusing.

Can you say Bill Belichick reclamation project next season?  We will have plenty of room in the backfield and I'm sure Bill will talk to Saban at some point.  TRich has a fully guaranteed salary so assuming IND releases him why not take a chance at the vet min.

Saban > BB: in retrospect, can you put together an o-line as dominant in the NFL as mine was in Alabama?

BB> next question

Hoo-hoo-hoo hoosier land.

Kijana carter too, but yeah, missing with a RB that high up is inexcusable
Ki-Jana tore up his knee before he ever played a meaningful down in the NFL. Hard to say what he could have been. That's just shit luck.

According to FO (which is consistent with my inexpert impression), TR is a competent receiver, but one of the worst runners in the league year in and year out. If he could block, he might be a decent third down back.

Richardson's high school scouting report was basically 'This guy has no weaknesses.' Based on college career alone, he looked better than any Bama back the last five years - Ingram, Lacy, Yeldon - and they all had the same kind of O-Lines. He seemed to have the perfect combo of power, speed and elusiveness. Thought he'd be at the very least Ingram-level decent. It's baffling.

Where it rains. No, seriously.

That whole era seemed to feature bust after bust of 2000 yard college backs. Or if at least not bust, wholly underwhelming. Ty Wheatley comes to mind too.

Wheatley isn't even in the conversation - he played in the league for 10 years and managed to score 40 touchdowns.

Obviously, all the details have not been released, but I'm not gonna let that dissuade me:

If this sad-sack, sorry-ass franchise with a front office that resembles the floaters left in a concert port-o-john suspended a player for missing a walkthrough to deal with a family emergency just to get out from under their terrible decision-making, I expect there to be quite an uproar from the media.

Oh wait, no. No I don't.

Fuck the Colts and everything about them. Goddamned losers.
