So Nahiem Alleyne has announced he’s transferring to St John’s. Maybe be annoyed of him transferring there but with the championship. So good luck Nahiem. In his Instagram post announcing it there was this response from Tristan Newton which I take to mean he’s coming back.

It's sad to see these teams you get accustomed to break up. I guess it must have to do with players coming in, but it's not immediately easy to see why this would be something other than a lateral move for Nahiem. He seemed to be looking at a decent situation, and I don't expect that anything Pitino says is something you can realistically take to the bank.

Bummer, but it is what it is. This is why winning championships in a short period is so amazing. It's really hard to build back up.

Sounds like AJax is just testing the waters. He’s retaining his college eligibility so there’s a chance he could come back to Storrs next year.

If he and Newton stay and we land this Timberlake transfer, we definitely have a chance to run it back with this recruiting class we are bringing in.
What a job Hurley has done in a few years time.

ESPN's final top 100 recruit rankings came out today and 4 of the freshmen are in the top 100(Castle is #12, Ball is #32, Ross is #80, and Stewart is #91).

It really sounded like Timberlake was a near lock to come to UConn, so that's disappointing. Luckily, the roster is likely to be loaded regardless.

Kansas likely blew him away with a monster NIL package. Oh well, let's get involved with Aaron Estrada of Hofstra.
I don’t fully understand how NIL works but it sure seems like schools can just buy players.

(maybe they always have done this but in a hush hush way)

Did Kansas outbid UNC because UNC has much more sports they’re good at so they have to spread the money around more?

(UConn is also good at more sports than Kansas)

Is he the only male UConn basketball player with number retired or are there others not in view of the photo?
Arguably the sweetest stroke ever, other than maybe Glen Rice.

To have your number retired you have to be in the Hall of Fame . So he is the only male basketball player with his number retired.

What a non-conference schedule next year(that we know of so far)
--11/19 and 20: Empire Classic at MSG with Indiana, Texas, and Louisville
--12/1: at Kansas(Big East/Big 12)
--12/5: vs. UNC at MSG(Jimmy V Classic)
--12/15: vs. Gonzaga at Climate Pledge Arena

For the women, they're playing Dayton, Ball State, Louisville, Maryland, and ND at home and Minnesota, NC State, South Carolina, and Texas on the road. Neutral site is 2 games in the Cayman Islands Classic, against UNC in Mohegan Sun, and a game in Canada for Aaliyah Edwards. No Tennessee game.

Not sure how many here care but UConn track and field - both men and women - won the Big East conference championships….AGAIN. They’ve utterly dominated since returning to the Big East.
