Brown, Tatum, Horford, and of course Timelord, are all out tonight. I figure that means we're starting a super-small lineup of:

Pritchard
Smart
White
Grant Williams
Theis

Who do you think will come off the bench? Nesmith, Hauser, and Kornet?

I don't think all 3 PG's start

Probably Nesmith instead of PP or White.

First place was nice while it lasted.

That's almost as bad as the guys the Lakers have surrounding Lebron!

A guy named Matt Ryan making his Celtics debut on 3-28.

Played with Nesmith in AN's freshman year at Vandy. Degree in Econ from there, so should be a smart kid! Also played at Notre Dame and UT-C (latter as a grad student). Professionally at Grand Rapids. Has a decent stroke, especially from FT line. 6-7 F

Keith Smith: Available Celtics tonight*:

Ballhandlers: Marcus Smart, Derrick White, Payton Pritchard
Wings: Aaron Nesmith, Nik Stauskas, Sam Hauser, Malik Fitts, Brodric Thomas, Matt Ryan
Bigs: Grant Williams, Daniel Theis, Luke Kornet, Juwan Morgan

*Assuming everyone is called up/signed
.

Morgan was signed today, so he may not be in Toronto yet. Thomas and Ryan (the two way guys) I assume will be there. So...

C: Theis/Kornet
PF: Grant/Hauser
SF: Nesmith/Stauskas
SG: White/Thomas
PG: Smart/Pritchard

Fitts, Ryan, Morgan (if he's there) are the break glass guys.

that's funny.

BUT I'd still take this crew over

Russ/THT/Melo/Monk/Reaves/Stanley Johnson/Bradley bunch:eek:

actually feel for Bron after typing that list out
Tonight, I'd take Russ.

he'd probably turn in a 40-20-20 if he was on the C's tonight

unfortunately, Smart will be doing his best Russ impersonation

Marcus' self-anointed #1 scoring option rarely works out
He's either going triple double or he's gonna be 7 of 24. I'm here for either tonight.

Apparently Marcus hasn’t built up any goodwill with some of these posters on here. After the work he’s put in the last few months I don’t care if he shoots 30 times tonight. I do know that he’s going to be a great leader and he’s going to go all out the entire time he’s out there, and that’s good enough for me.

This team has been very connected top to bottom. They might get blown out tonight, but I’m looking for them to be competitive defensively and bombs away offensively. Going to need some 7-10 shooting from three from Pritchard and possibly one more Celtic tonight.

Oh, if that's in reference to my post, I agree re: the goodwill. That's why I said I'm here for it either way.

He's right about eing the number one scoring option tonight!

A guy named Matt Ryan making his Celtics debut on 3-28.

Discussed when he was signed but my one Matt Ryan recollection was when he was a Freshman(?) at Notre Dame I remember a moment saying to myself that this was the worst major D-1 player I had ever seen. I chuckled at the moment but funny how things turn out.

around the way
Well enjoyed the shit out of this game. Marcus in rare form. Nesmith with a career game imo, Pritchard was fine, even Hauser contributed. And groot.

Hauser looked surprisingly playable on D. Not going to play the prospect dreaming game, but he's pretty intriguing as a 15 minute guy, just because his shooting seems very real, and that slots in perfectly around Tatum+bench lineups.
