I think it's part reaction to the CR game, part planned rotation. Euro guys aren't at peak fitness yet and the conditions are going to be brutal.
I'm most surprised by Guzan over Howard. Unless Howard took a knock or something.

Yeah this is pretty much the same amount of squad rotation which occurred after the big win against TRI in Commerce City. I doubt the CRC result was a significant factor. (Although there was a shorter turnaround time due to the Confederations Cup.)
I'm not an expert, but I feel as though the ability to time a jump so that the head is at the highest point around the same time the ball arrives is a fundamental part of playing soccer. Why can't we win balls in the air?

Did the announcer basically just say that Honduras can chose what time they play the game ? I did not know the federation's could do that.

WADR to Tim Howard, who has been a loyal and stalwart servant and wonderful representative for America's National Team, he looked absolutely awful the other night. He seems to have died, washed up on the beach, and begun to stink.
I share your lack of enthusiasm for Guzan but at least he isn't ready for the glue factory.
The home teams are responsible for selling the rights to the games. So while the US home games are consistent, the road games are whoever buys the rights. beIN buys the English rights for a lot of the road games, but I never seem to have the "correct" beIN, so I end up with most of them in Spanish.

The USWNT coverage is like that, also calling every player by her first name. It's awful like parents at a rec league game.
I'm happy with the guys upfront and most of the mids but the back line and aging keepers are struggling a lot.
I did like the ref giving the stop running your mouth or I'll boot you hand signals to the Honduran coach. Sadly that has been the only fun part so far.
To be honest if Zusi lined up across the field from my daughter's U16 team I'd feel pretty good they'd exploit him.
If there's another goal in this game, I'd say it feels 90/10 that it would go to Honduras not us.
