How has none of the reporters covering the team questioned Claude on the usage of Campbell?

You'd figure at least one of them would have the stones to question it.
They're too busy playing footsie with each other on Twitter.

I love that Spooner does that little pivot move that became popular with peewees like a decade ago. I mean that seriously, I find it amusing.

I love it.  He dumped a defender on his ass doing that earlier in the game.

Easily the most enjoyable B's win of the year (for me, anyway). And I don't give a fuck how horrible that penalty call was in the final 2 minutes that gave Boston the power play.

Congrats to Talbot with his first point as a Bruin.

Kind of bothers me that it validated Claude pulling Smith from Bergeron's line for a fourth liner though.  He makes so many questionable decisions.

Whatever. Back in and get swept by Montreal...that was some Penguins-esque level bullshit.

I hate Marchand on occasion, but he really is the only forward on this team who occasionally flips the fuck out and simply wills a huge goal. He's like fucking Keyser Soze sometimes.

Eh, the Flyers need to maximize ping pong balls anyway. Wish they'd just lose in regulation.
Certainly true. But between the Flyers and Celtics rooting for ping pong balls always ends badly for me.

I actually don't disagree with that statement, he just neglected to mention that the line also made the stupidest play of the game and almost cost them 2 points.

Me neither, really.  They were pretty good up until that point, but its a joke that they were even on the ice at that point.  They also took another shift with under 3 minutes to play down a goal.  What is he doing?

I still think that this team gets the 7 seed. They have 2 games in hand and play the Caps twice. I could see that April 8th game effectively deciding the 7/8

Tomorrow will speak volumes. Another W and we can officially say this team has righted the ship IMO

Went to my first game of the year today, thanks to Napkin, and what a fucking game it was.  I've been lucky enough to see a ton of great sporting events in person, but this was probably the most fun I've had in a regular season Bruins game.

My son just turned 7, and I brought him, and about halfway through the first period, he asked me what happened if there was a tie.  Trying to explain overtime rules/shootouts to him was like trying to explain nuclear physics to a cat, so I was damn happy for a few reasons when Marchand scored his first goal, sending it to OT, and then he got to see it in person (which always makes learning something easier, IMO).  Never had to go so far as to see a shootout though, for which I couldn't be more thankful.  Saw someone joke in here that they should consider pulling Rask in OT, which was funny, because me and the guy next to me were joking about the same thing at the time.  I guess it kind of leads to a question though.  Let's say it's game 81 or whatever, and the B's need 2 points to get into the playoffs.  Do they consider doing that?  I say Claude wouldn't even think about it, whereas BB would not only have thought about it, he'd do it in a heartbeat.  Nothing to lose at that point, right?

If you pull the goalie in OT and give up the ENG, you lose the loser point. Won't happen unless in game 82 a SO is useless and you need the ROW.

Yep, I understand they'd lose the point, but I was more wondering if it's something Claude would even consider.  I personally find his end of game decision making to be questionable at best lately, and if it came down to game 81 or 82, and they needed points to have any shot at getting in (maybe they have to have 4 points with 2 games left to have any chance), would the thought even cross his mind in the moment?  That's what the guy next to me and I were discussing.  Kind of like when BB takes the intentional safety or something along those lines because you know he's considered every single possibility.

I don't think he would do it. Pulling the goalie gives you a 5-on-4. At best that's like a 30% chance of winning. Shootouts, as bad as the Bruins have been, are usually around 50/50. I'd still take my chances in the SO.
