Yep, I got an October one (which I drank last night, and was still really good), one bottled less than 3 weeks ago, and the other two beers I posted. The three left will probably not be around for more than about 3 more hours.

So I get a call from wife that I got a box from the Jug Shop. So naturally I get excited Iike is is some sort of DIY boob job thing. Upon getting home I get excited for different reasons. I passed on the beer, just happy to help OFT's godson, but am thrilled to receive the package. Not too sure how you got my address, but I have noticed a car lurking in my driveway lately.

I'll be in SF in May, maybe we can hook up, I owe you one!

Ha, no worries. It was too much of a pain in the ass to email everyone individually and say "hey, you wanted beer right?" (because that would also have a weird connotation like maybe I was trying to get out of it? I don't know) so if you said something about SOSH in your comment and donated more than $100, the brew shipped. Seemed like the right thing to do, especially in light of the fact that I had to change the terms from four Plinys to two Plinys plus other Russian River stuff.

Got my 2x Pliny (2/26 vintage), Damnation, and Velvet Merlin today. Never had any of them, excited to crack into them tomorrow night.

Ha, so it turns out that I accidentally had one SOSHer double-listed so s/he got an extra batch. I'm less concerned with that kind of type 1 error, and more concerned with a type 2 where someone is supposed to get beer and doesn't. So if anyone is expecting beer and hasn't gotten it by say next week, please let me know.

I didn't receive any Pliny; two blind pigs, a velvet, and a damnation. How are the blind pigs?

Glad to hear Harrison is doing well, and thanks for the brew!

I haven't received any beer at all, I know you had my info since I got the pin and ticket.
If you haven't sent it don't worry about it, I don't need the beer.

No beer yet here either. I wasn't going to say anything because really, the beer isn't what's important, but until your reply to Byrdbrain I hadn't considered that maybe it was sent and not delivered, which I suppose someone ought to know about. I did get a pin and ticket, but the $100 threshold was reached half through the donation website and half through the SOSH membership upgrade. If that doesn't count (had to be all through the site for tracking or whatever) that's not a problem at all. This must have been a ton of work for you already so please don't go through a bunch more effort on my account.

I'm pretty bummed no one asked me to to give a statement, but cool nonetheless.

Awesome article.

Should we still be on the lookout if we haven't gotten a package yet? We had some issues with packages being "lost" from the mail room a week or so back and I'd hate for someone to have struck gold.

A couple people *just* now received their Pliny, so it's definitely taking a while for some. A couple others were rejected and sent back; I'm working with them directly to attempt alternative delivery methods.

I never did get any, not sure what happened.
Don't worry about trying again, I'm good.

Hey, sorry, I've been a little radio silent. Work has been a bit crazy, to the point that there will be a press release over the next couple weeks. Anyway, I digress.

So there are a handful of people who did not receive beers. A few of them were actually rejected and sent back, most were seized or destroyed due to some inconsistencies in postal enforcement. To those people, I am trying to find legally permissible workarounds; the goal was obviously always to get you guys the beer, and I'll do everything I can to make it happen.

A far as I'm concerned, don't sweat i, you tried yo live up to your end. I did it for Harrison, the beer would have been a bonus.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Feczko! Can you just ask them to hold it for you or forward?

p.s. I emailed a bunch of you; like I said, I'm gonna give it a shot on a workaround, and if not, well, you just have to come out for the Sox-Giants series and I'll buy you Pliny in person. The downside is, you have to drink beer with me, which Tangled Up In Red, Sille Skrub, SFIC, Brohammer, and Dr. Dichtel etc will all tell you is a harrowing experience to be avoided at all costs.

they were willing to hold it, but I'm now living 3000+ miles away, they wouldn't forward it unfortuantely. Honestly, it's not a big deal for me, so don't worry about it.
Now that I'm living closer to San Francisco, having beers at a sox-giants game sounds like a solid plan. Drinking beer with you can't be more harrowing then drinking beer with me (my alcohol limit in a night is two bottles of slivovitz; not that I would ever recommend drinking slivovitz). Though no one on this board has ever drunk with me.

Oof.

Slivovitz or Slivovitsa is a fruit brandy made from Damson plums,[1] often referred to as plum brandy.[2] Slivovitz is produced in Central and Eastern Europe, both commercially as well as homemade. Primary producers are in Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, and Bulgaria. In the Balkans it is part of the category of drinks called Rakia, while in Hungary it is part Pálinka; in Czech Republic and Slovakia Pálenka, which all are the same concept.

Ugh. I've had that, and palinka, which is a difference without distinction. I very much hope that your 'two bottle' limit comment is a typo.

Hung with my man Harrison today and he's great. Also, some of you should get some mail over the next two weeks. ImageUploadedBySons of Sam Horn1465096476.211965.jpg

And with that we are done. Final shipments went out last week and some have started to be received, and one SOSHer had to come to SF to get some beers, but we are at long last done. Been a long strange trip! But Harrison is doing great, and his dad and I played golf last week, so life is good.

Thanks to everyone for everything, especially all the donors, OJ, and Nip. Let's close this thing down until the next one?
