Cutler being Cutler.  Why Chicago abandoned the run for this entire quarter (including four straight plays on the goal line that resulted in a turnover on downs) when they are only down by one score is one of the many reasons this team sucks so fucking bad.

What percent of NFL announcers do you think actually understand the rules around stopping the clock by running out of bounds?

I'd guess around 25%.

What percentage of MLB announcers will call a deep fly ball that lands on the warning track and then bounces into the stands an "automatic double" instead of a "ground rule double"?

Mallett was a no show at camp the day after he was told he'd be backup. I think consistency and attitude are in play.

Andre Johnson looks slow and fat. Nice half effort on that one.

The Dirty Mo'
PBP guy was figuring out the field goal distance in the rams Seahawks game. With the rams down 7 with under a minute to play.

Is that the same thing?  Not understanding how the clock works would seem crucial for an NFL announcer... especially considering it happens every single game.

Rams guy gets hurt and Johnston says, "Right away, you're thinking achilles." Are you really? It could be anything.

They should run the clock out in St Louis.  Stupid to stop the clock at 1 second for a Rams injury when Seattle has no timeouts.

Hou kicker just hits it off the inside of the upright for a 47yd FG.
1:23 left down by 7. On side here we go...

Edit: and Hou puts a perfect bounce in Maclins chest and he falls on it smartly. Crappy kick.

Injury inside 2 minutes is a charged timeout.

No, it's just something that drives me nuts.  There's nothing special about Fenway or Wrigley or yankee stadium where a fly ball that bounces on the warning track and then into the stands is a double in those parks but not others.  It's not a "ground rule" if it's the same rule everywhere.  But announcers always call it that way.
