Bills are all over Luck's ducks. Should have 3 more picks today.

Is it really? However you'd define it, "high" hits could be flagged like incidental face mask penalties used to be. Defenders aren't ejected or fined, just penalized.

Eh.. He leads with his helmet right into his earhole. If the league thinks the rules against that with regards to receivers making a catch and QBs in the pocket are necessary for safety there is no reason they shouldn't apply to runners.
Put this way... If McCown were catching a ball there it would be an obvious personal foul on the defender.
I have this discussion with people every year and they never have a good answer.

What would you have had the defender do differently?
What you are asking for is reaction time and adjustments at a speed that are just not humanely possible.

The defender saw or anticipated the QB going up into the air and reacted his tackling angle. Knowing thst McCown's head would helicopter into him is beyond reasonable expectations.

If you make that play a penalty then there is no point in even playing the games.

Not launch. Not lead with the head.
Maybe he's trying to lead with the shoulder and fails, but that play happens because he is trying to launch into the player rather than us his arms in any way to make a tackle.

Bet they would have liked the ball to be deflated to lessen the chance of a fumble there.

nFLRZ points out Colts are only team to not score today.

The fact that the Colts drafted a WR in the 1st round is going to be my favorite subplot all season long. It will never get old.

So you're saying, "No launching." I guess they could do that but it would certainly change the game. Your expectations are unreasonable relative to the game itself. It can be changed but it'll be a humongous change.

I love watching Chris Polk run the ball.  He just refuses to go down... maybe the Chiefs should sign his mom to tackle him.

He was trying to hit a player who was in the air. I believe physics dictate thst launching himself was the only way to get the stop. If the player was running then fine wrap him up and make a tackle. That's not a reasonable expectation though in this scenario.

What happened there?

Anyone DVR that? It looked like the defender had grasp of the chest part of the RB's jersey and was pulling him down with it, so the head dropped.

Still a chance the Colts won't score as it looks like they are going for it. Also the Martian looks awesome. Hope it's as good as the book.

Colts run the Seahawks final SB play for a TD. Guess Rexy didnt show the video.

Looked like the outside defensive back thought they would switch coverage responsibilities, but the inside defender stayed with his original man.
