No. He didn't take the safety in the Super Bowl against the Seahawks, and that was basically the exact same situation as this.
Can we say this for sure? Maybe they were only trying to draw the offsides (and would have taken the safety had SEA not jumped).

There was way too much time left to take the safety with a FG left to win. This was the obvious exception to that strategy though! lol

No way. The absolute worst case scenario if they complete the exchange is a safety. You've got better than 99:1 of doing that, and probably 80%+ of falling forward.

You just can't fumble the snap.
Do we know Allen’s hand didn’t get fucked up when he tried to punch the ball out?

Agreed. Safety wasn't the call.

Poor execution. Not sure if the push behind on Allen was too quick but he needs to secure that ball. Still time though

To be clear, I was joking when I advocated for the intentional safety. It would not have been the right play with that much time left. Which pains me, as it's one of my favorite play calls in sports.
