I’m trying to think of the most realistic scenario where we could get a defensive 1 point safety so that a team could have a score of 1. I’d assume the returner would have to fumble it shortly before the goal line and the kicking team recovers and runs back into their own endzone with it and gets tackled.

There’s probably better odds of getting a rouge in the NFL versus a play like that ever happening.

How did Seattle get so bad so quickly? Nine straight years with a winning record. 12-4 last year. And on their way to 3-8.
The 12-4 was smoke and mirrors. It's shitty coaching, trading too many high picks for guys who aren't providing enough value, and a QB that has completely lost his confidence.

Ball hit the ground. Seattle won't be able to go 97 yards anyway even if WTF's entire secondary fell down every play.

How are they not kicking the fg here??

90% of the stadium could make this kick and they are up 8!

Insane.

Pathetic that the punter can’t kick a short field goal. Washington deserves to lose now for that.

A couple years ago, I kicked a 45-yard field goal at a corporate event at AT&T Stadium in jeans and shoes. Seems like someone could have kicked that.

The punter is the holder, so you not only have the backup kicker, but the backup holder.

I'm sure they practice it, but if they miss it, Seattle would get the ball at the 20 instead of the three

Boston College literally had a fan kicking FGs about 15 years ago. How hard is it to teach someone else?!

How many NFL players were rushing at you at the time?

My friend whose in-laws are huge Seahawks fans (to his chagrin) must be going apeshit yet again. He's always muttering how Seattle has a horseshoe up their ass and gets the benefit from the officials.

Considering the 3 vs 7 was of almost no difference....the fact that they didn't go for the 20 yard FG there is one of the strangest things I have ever seen.
