I kinda get it, it’s very unlikely you will convert a third and 16 and it’s high risk of making that FG tough with how bad the tackles look so far.

I’d also be fine with going for third down with a mind to go for a fourth and short
It’s true; you’re right. But I’m mostly here for the Maye show with a sprinkling of hoping a few other guys developing. :)

Maye looks excellent to me. Maybe he doesn’t need to run out of the pocket which caused that hold but otherwise I’m impressed.

Newton
Notwithstanding his record and “triumphant return“ Tua has never played particularly well against the Pats.

Waddle OTOH is always good against us.

Another year of this guy proving he's not a head coach will be frustrating but hopefully next year there will be a talent upgrade to offset some of this stuff.

Another moronic pre-snap penalty. Please don't tell me that's not about coaching.
I don’t disagree, but it’s still mystifying. It’s not like the guys don’t know the rules.

Um, I assume…

It’s not about knowing the rules imo. It’s about getting guys focused and holding them accountable when they lose said focus

God damn this is a stupid, stupid football team. When it's everyone, it's on the coaches.
True. But I don’t understand how the players don’t know this stuff. They’ve all been playing football for years and years. How hard is it to just wait til the ball is snapped? (I’ve never played the sport so maybe it’s harder than it seems like it should be)

I'd like to think that pats are creating new ways to lose but it's really just the same ones. Soft coaching and undiciplined line play, with an occasional case of poor tackleing

Right. I guess it’s hard for me to imagine not being locked in in front of 60K people, on TV, with a truly terrifying human being looking to destroy me. But then again, I’m not a pro athlete. :D
