My son immediately called that as a taunt - you (point) are small (hand held down low). It went over my head, but it’s not like they flagged a little excess exuberance. I’m ok with it.
He pointed. The point was clear.

And you can get rolled into an ambulance and carted to the hospital on a normal football play. BUT YOU WILL NOT FUCKING POINT AT ANOTHER PLAYER! That's just too over the line.

Man that’s a false start? He’s getting down into his blocking stance

By that standard I guess they should be calling one every time the OL lean in to get an audible or protection call from the Qb

Refs knew that there was no chance GB stops a 4th and 1, had to step in

Taunting is such a foolish penalty, especially when a league allows choreographed dancing after turnovers and touchdowns. I say let it all go and let the players settle it on the field.
Pointing might hurt someone's feelings.

It's important to not hurt someones feelings, even if you're playing a game when you can rattle brains in their skulls.

they shouldn’t let loser franchises like the Giants, Ravens and Colts dictate policies so much. If you don’t wanna get taunted as a pro athlete, play better.

There’s a difference between not liking the point of emphasis, and thinking taunting shouldn’t be a penalty at all. I’m saying if it’s a penalty at all, that one’s a flag; it was deliberately intended to demean the other player, not a natural expression of exuberance or whatever.

The Ravens with no secondary brining 2 guys on 3rd and long giving Rodgers 15 second to find an open guy is malpractice

What are you talking about?

I said it was clearly a point and they are flagging players pointing. I am not disputing the flag. But I am also saying it's absurd they are flagging someone pointing. Is that really demeaning in a game where these guys are knocking each other's blocks off?

I know I should technically be rooting Baltimore as a pats fan and I hate Baltimore but as the game goes on I find myself doing this opposite. My despise for Green Bay (mostly Rodgers) is actually surprising me.

What a theft on Denver

And then the Dumbass turns it back over
Is this the play? As described by an ESPN game cast typist on speed:

(10:39) (Shotgun) D.Lock left tackle to CIN 11 for -2 yards (K.Kareem). FUMBLES (K.Kareem), RECOVERED by CIN-K.Kareem at CIN 11. K.Kareem to CIN 37 for 26 yards (D.Lock). FUMBLES (D.Lock), touched at CIN 38, RECOVERED by DEN-G.Bolles at CIN 42. The Replay Official reviewed the runner was not down by contact ruling, and the play was REVERSED. (Shotgun) D.Lock left tackle to CIN 11 for -2 yards (K.Kareem). FUMBLES (K.Kareem), RECOVERED by CIN-K.Kareem at CIN 11. K.Kareem to CIN 15 for 4 yards (D.Lock).

I root for GB because somehow having LaFleurs kid brother as my OC makes me like GB more.

The Red Zone guy claims that Baltimore is eliminated from the playoffs if they lose this and Cincy wins. Which seems wrong to me.

Yeah I know what you mean… we want the Ravens to lose, but…fuck Aaron Rodgers. Ugh.
I don’t understand a word of this.
Well, ok I though I knew, but now I’m not sure?

Definitely wrong. Just tested it out on the ESPN Playoff Machine by having all home teams win and then changing today's Ravens and Bengals games, and it had the Ravens making it as the 5th seed at 10-7 (and playing at 10-7 #4 seed Cincy in Wild Card Weekend).

Edit: Which, by the way, also includes the Ravens losing next week @ Cincy. So this is just wildly inaccurate.

Edit2: I played around a little more and found a situation where at 9-8 the Ravens could still make the playoffs. So... yeah.
