Why are the Rams not playing Goff and Gurley? Disappointing as a fan of what should have been a good matchup.
Because they presumably would prefer to be the fourth seed and play Philly instead of Minnesota if they win their first playoff game.

Yes. The Rams should unequivocally try to lose this game. Philly is a disaster right now, it's not even remotely the same team it was a month ago.

Watching Fournette out in the flat with guys diving at his ankles makes me wonder if the Jags really are going to play their starters for 60 minutes. It makes no sense. Give them a couple drives and then go vanilla, especially because you don't want to show the Titans too much in case you play them again.

I want to see them. Seriously, they are tied with Carolina and NO. Are there no tiebreakers that are undecided?
They could be three or four. Four gets you ATL, probably, three gets you CAR, probably. Guess it matters if They and NO make the nfcccg

Screw the Niners, it hurts the Pats
That is also very true - my wife is a huge 49ers fan so I pay attention to them (even before the Jimmy trade).
The only bad move from Kyle and Lynch was not playing Jimmy at home against the Seahawks - they would have won that game. If you are trying to lose then lose. If you want to win, CJ never should have started that game.

They said JG hadn't mastered the playbook. I think they just wanted to avoid the Seattle defense

Suck it Jimmy. Brady could have done that.

Edit - that is rude of me. I think Jimmy only threw that b/c he still wants to help the Pats out.

California. Duh.
I think the Rams are making a mistake. It’s not as though Goff is a Brady or a Manning or a Brees. He (Goff) needs all the game experience he can get. I wouldn’t sit him out today.
The center and left tackle were nursing injuries, so they decided to sit them out today. As soon as you make that decision, there is no way you run Goff or Gurley out there.

This. When healthy, this Rams team has a decent shot to make some noise in the playoffs. They are playing at home in the first round no matter what.

I wonder if Browns fans already are drinking away their sorrows thinking of how they'll blow the 1 and 4 picks

Colts coach Chuck Pagano went around the locker room tearfully hugging each player after the game. Pagano was given a commemorative banner by owner Jim Irsay.
