I'm pretty sure the Bears have had worse luck with kickers dude. They lost postseason game. Jets are in week 2.

Brady has ruined me but I have a hard time agreeing that what we just saw was "very well managed" when they just took 4 plays and 30 seconds to drive 15 yards...

Namath was on Howard Stern recently and I actually came away from that respecting the guy. He freely admits to having issues with alcohol at the time and I think he’s apologized to Kolber and she accepted it.
Yeah, there was a documentary profiling him (was either on ESPN or NFLN over the past 2-3 years), and you could tell he was still mortified by that clip from the prime time Jets/Pats game.

I felt bad for the guy; I didn’t realize how severe his substance use issues were.

I think the Pats could kneel three times and punt every drive and still beat the Jets.

I get that it was intended to send a “WE PLAY 60 MINUTES OF FOOTBALL” to the team, but I imagine BB will be even more prone to run up the score against the jets and their 10th string QB than he was against friend and former colleague B-Flo.

If the Pats defense is as good as we think it might be next weekend is going to be ugly.
Assuming everyone stays healthy, pats defense will look better than it probably is due to exceedingly weak matchups for the next 6 weeks or so. Our strongest offensive opponent is arguably the bills until november.

In fairness to Cleveland, it’s not at all unlikely that they could draw the jets offside with that bullshit even though it didn’t work approximately 7-ish offensive plays earlier.

In Brazil, we have an expression, "café com leite" (meaning literally "latte"), usually meaning a kid in the game who clearly isn't at the same level as everyone else, but you let them play, and take it easy with them - don't defend them as intensely, or at all, let them break the rules, and so on - so they don't get left out.

Just thought of that for some reason.
