Fencing response. His hands are fine. That’s his brain freaking out.

What does Burrow do better than Mac?
Just about everything. Burrow played behind a worse O-Line than Mac last year and led the league in yards per passing attempt, is a better athlete (not a high bar), and led his team to the Super Bowl. The Pats are hoping Mac turns into what Burrow already is.

Oh my God. That camera shot of his hands is awful. Don't buy the Dolphin's explanation for that concussion fiasco last week and it looks like something worse just happened.
Huge setback for him just as he was putting it together. Not worth it.

Where it rains. No, seriously.
I’m not a doctor but as a coach we have strict state protocols to avoid Second Impact Syndrome, which is basically trauma that happens from a second impact when you don’t allow the first concussion to “heal”.

Edit: took out the speculation and tightened it up.

Every time I see one of these guys get badly hurt like that I wonder if this sport is worth it and should be allowed. Awful stuff to have to watch on TV.

Yeah, and as also not a dr. This seems like it could be second impact syndrome.

That sack was just so violent. These guys are just so big and strong.

Just catching up
Just awful
Don’t get why they let him play this week, and a short week at that.

The coaches are going to throw the medical staff under the bus so hard.
I generally like McDaniels, but he already kinda did based on what I read this week.

"The pillar of importance for all of it is player safety -- that's why the protocols are in place. We're happy to comply and I feel fine about that whole process, really."

McDaniel also said Monday that Tagovailoa was sore, as expected, and dealing with ankle soreness as well as back soreness from the game.

The entire dolphins organization and the NFL should be held accountable. The. NFL did nothing after last week. And Goodell should be hauled in front of the press to explain why they think this shit is ok.

Whoever cleared him last week should be fired. That’s awful

That clip is scary AF. Earlier in the broadcast there was mention of last week's incident and that Tua claimed that he wasn't concussed but was dealing with a back injury. Given the last 12 months of scrutiny over this franchise, you'd think this might have been handled differently.

Assuming (and I understand maybe I shouldn’t), that he’s on the up and up, he should throw the drs under the bus. A running game specialist shouldn’t be in charge of the medical evals. The drs need to do the right thing.

If there’s evidence they’re pressured I’ll surely believe it though. But barring that, the medical staff should be thrown under the bus.

It’s perfectly deserved to throw the medical staff under the bus for throwing the quarterback in front of the bus

I’ll tell you for a franchise that had the Martin and Flores fiascos, one that traded huge assets to get a human monster in waddle, kind of amazing to see them hit a true bottom with their treatment of Tua.

Hope he’s ok and hope he doesn’t play until he gets a real ok from real independent doctors.

Is it too extreme to demand that medical professionals resign in protest if it comes to it? I would hope much has changed since James Woods played the doctor in Any Given Sunday.

I watched my nephew get knocked out cold at 10 years old playing football and haven't really been able to enjoy the sport since. I hung on until Brady left the Pats and watched his SB with Tampa, but that's been it for football for me.

I came by to see what you guys were saying when I heard about it in another group.... and it sounds like I am continuing to make the right choice. I hope this kid can get healthy after this and have a normal life, but I just can't do this sport anymore.

Analysts completely ignoring the reason why Tua is in this position. This wasn’t a random injury.

Miami doesn’t handle the concussion protocol. They don’t put him in the protocol and they can’t clear him.

You can absolutely say they could or should have held him out as a precautionary measure, but someone else, not a Miami doctor, said he was ok to go back in the game, and Roger and the league are going to have to answer for that.
