He was fumbling the ball before he got hit. Just a total joke of an effort, but fully expected when you force a team to play without practice for 2 weeks

Also incredibly deep TE class in 2019 that the Pats turned up their nose at.

Wonder if Bill figured the odds of the FG are worse than 50/50 and the chances they convert on 3rd and 14 and basically end the game (either TD or killing more time and still a FG) greater.

Very interesting choice and one that certainly doesn't show confidecen in the defense

All they needed was to get like 5 yards back on the 3rd and long and he hits it anyway. Doubt the decision makes any difference.

Yeah, it’s a marginal decisioneither way. I think he did the right thing in, absent a horrible penalty, eliminating the risk of a conversion and potentially a game sealing TD drive.
