First time ever Ole Miss and Mississippi St have both been 4-0. Could be the biggest day ever for Mississippi college football.

If they both win they'll make it a state holiday

If they both win, the world will end and nobody will care.

In the meantime, I suspect that LSU is going to skull-fuck Auburn's offensive line.  I say that knowing that LSU hasn't looked all that great so far this season, because Auburn's offensive line has been just that bad so far this season, being dominated physically by Kansas State for an entire game, and by LA Tech for about 3 quarters last week.  I hope I'm wrong, but that's the most likely upset this weekend.

What an end to the UCF Houston game.

With 30 seconds to play the Houston QB makes an incredible athletic effort breaks free, dives for the goal-line. About 1 foot from the end zone a defende who is diving at the qb makes contact with the arm, and the ball starts to come out.  ball dribbles out of bounds in the endzone.    Ruling fumble,  touchback,  UCF wins 17-12

Arizona marched down the field and scored on the opening drive of the second half to take a 10-7 lead.

I was expecting more of a shootout, like the WSU-Oregon game.

Arizona's QB is a freshman? Wow.

Wildcats take the lead, but there is nearly 3 minutes left. I fully expect Oregon to tie or even win on a 2-point conversion.

Man, that was fantastic.

I'd feel bad for Oregon over the lame celebration penalty, but they got hooked up with that awful non-Pass Interference penalty at the end of the WSU game. So, fuck 'em.

Enjoy another year of "shoulda been national champs" Ducks fans.

The Kay Yow Cancer Fund – whose namesake helped inspire the pink-infused uniforms the Oregon Ducks will wear tonight to bring attention to Breast Cancer Awareness Month – has awarded $100,000 to the Knight Cancer Institute at Oregon Health & Science University, it was announced Thursday.

The $100,000 grant will be awarded to the institute to continue research on the potential effectiveness of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as ibuprofen or aspirin, in preventing metastasis of breast cancer in young women. The grant will contribute to the Knight Cancer Challenge campaign, which was launched in about one year ago after Nike co-founder Phil Knight and his wife, Penny, pledged to give $500 million for cancer research at the Knight Cancer Institute if OHSU raised an equal amount by February 2016.

The Kay Yow Cancer Fund made its grant in partnership with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association and The V Foundation for Cancer Research.

I like the fight in the Miss St defense. After a muffed punt, they get a stop on 4th, after a questionable fumble, they get a pick right away.

On the other hand, the TAMU D doesn't look thrilled dealing with Prescott.

Yeah, I don't think A&M can win this game.  When Prescott and the MSU offense gets rolling downhill, they generally keep going for the entire game.  They are the kind of team that either starts hot and finishes that way or struggles early and never gets it going, and at least so far, they are smoking hot.  Didn't expect to see Kenny Hill choke the way he is thus far, but a freshman on the road in a big SEC game, tough spot for him.

I missed the BYU game yesterday.  Had no idea that Taysom Hill broke his leg and is done for the year.  Huge loss for them, and sucks for the kid.  He had really come into his own this year.

Could be a big weekend of upsets and top dogs going down this weekend.  Just has that kind of a feel to it so far, obviously starting with the Ducks on Thursday.

East Carolina is very experienced, particularly at the skill positions.  Shane Carden is a very, very good QB, and of course, a good QB can mask a ton of deficiencies in college football.  He's basically a four year starter, and barring injury, he'll finish with 10,000+ passing yards and 80+ td's in his career. Not sure he's good enough to play at the next level, but he'll get a look from some teams next year.  He's got the career NCAA active leader in receptions in Justin Hardy to throw to, who absolutely has next level size and skills.  At halftime, Hardy has 8 catches for 120 yards and 3 td's today, and he's gong to finish with over 300 receptions, 4,000 yards and 30+ touchdowns.  They've built a great rapport over the years together.

Their running game always seems to be a work in progress, and defensively, they have enough talent to hang with the schools they play, if not dominate some of them, but they'll struggle against teams like South Carolina when they have to match up with talent all over the field.  I think they are most definitely a top 25 team in the nation, probably somewhere around 20.

East Carolina: are they any good or just beating up weak teams? They beat VTech and UNC and lost by 10 to SCar.

I think they are a very legit top 25 team.

I was thinking the same thing as far as upsets go. They seemingly tend to cluster. Long way to go though. Also, Hill is a sophomore. First year starter though.

The interesting thing about the BYU game is Utah St lost Chuckie Keaton last week for the season, and then they pull off the upset. Not a good time to be a starting QB in Utah.

Good info on ECU, thanks. Id seen of the Hardy highlights and he does look like he has the ability to play on Sunday. Oddly, he is 'only' 6-0 185. He seems to play bigger or at least felt like a 6-2ish 205 type.

TAMU Noil amazing leaping catch while falling oob at the 2 and reaches out and stretches the ball across the goalline for a TD.
