I love when a commercial breaks into the red zone coverage. Hansen gets so offended when that happens.
Brief switch to the Redskins game...their uniforms and crowd look like fall and football (still summer here).
Also that's why you take the extra point when you are down two with 13 minutes to go.

Because the argument is "that's why you should do it later." I'm just saying a miss is a miss, and it's better for the miss to happen earlier so that the coach knows how to plan the rest of the game.Mystic Merlin said:

Basically, your goal is to maximize your chances of winning the game, not maximize your chances of remaining within one possession at all times. The latter doesn't necessarily track the former. The "extend the game" mentality manifests itself in conservative fourth down decisions as well.

You might not need to every go for 2 at all depending on how they rest of the game plays out. But the mathematical expectation is so close to even between going for it and kicking the XP that I find it tough to criticize a "go for two" decision except in extreme circumstances.Ed Hillel said:
