McKennie assist!

Assuming Morata wasn’t offside for the seventeenth time this week.
Insanely unselfish assist, to the point where I am convinced a shot made more sense.

Great way to get in the good graces of your strikers.

Does Juve just not have any right backs? I’ve only seen a few games this season, but Cuadrado sure seems like an excellent winger with minimal defensive instinct crammed at fullback.

He’s been playing there for two years.

Also, everybody is hurt again.

Olsen made a save on Longstaff just after the Newcastle penalty that I have zero doubt Pickford would've missed. He also had a nice save on a Saint Maximin chance late in the first half.

Unfortunately, I think it's a case of Everton finally having an observant, competent manager

Wow, a Cenk Tosun sighting

Fraser to Wilson to effectively wrap it up for Newcastle

Not so fast - 6 minutes were added, Calvert-Lewin scores in the first

If Pickford had played he'd have gotten red carded chasing after Longstaff with an abandoned shipwrighting tool. Never trust a Mackem.

EDIT: And that was a delightful little win, because it makes NUFC's league position secure enough that they can focus on the dream: finding a way to overcome Brentford in the League Cup quarterfinals.

Just saw replay of Ings’ injury. Gutted for the guy. Hope it’s not another blown ACL.

End of that match was a sight to behold from a Mourinho perspective. In the 6' of added time, Brighton got it across midfield maybe once - Spurs completely killed off the game

Paging @OCST Pickford dropped today for Olsen?!?
ive been moving all day but did manage to see the interesting moments, which were few.

Carlo said it was just a “rest” for Pickford and that he’d start the next game against United. Maybe he will. This fixture is always a spazz-o-Rama for him so even with the stands empty you might say that this is a good game to rest him. But I think he’s done. Robbie Earle and Tim Howard were unsparing- Howard saying that every time a manager ever did this to him he knew he was done.

Fine with me. He doesn’t deserve the death threats he’s been getting from Liverpool fans but he’s his own worst enemy.

Olsen was good. Two strong saves, not at fault for either goal, one was a pen.

5/10 of the outfield best XI were out and the second string is not very good. I’m not discouraged with where the project is but we don’t have the depth yet to survive Richy, James, Digne and Coleman out, and Holgate is their best CB snd he’s been out for several weeks. Yerry Mina is too erratic, Gomes played well at the start of the season but was putrid today, including with an Unnecessary foul for the pen, and Sigurdsson is just terrible. DCL didn’t sniff the ball all day.

Zlatan scored the winner against Udinese with a bicycle kick. He also set up the other goal for Milan; and he now has 7 goals in 4 matches. If you watch him he basically never sprints and hardly runs at all; but he's so big and skilled he just pulls down balls and creates chances.

Love seeing a former MLS star play well in a retirement league.
