And Buck is a moron for saying "He doesn't get the protection as a QB because he's a runner now."

You still can't do helmet to helmet on a tackle. They just missed it.
They don't call that in the NFL, I know they hypothetically changed the rule, but only for fines. The Refs still only call QB or defenseless receiver.

I always wondered the double standard anyway. A runner can plow his helmet in no problem. Same with facemask.

technically the same rule applies to the runner, if he lowers his head and initiates the contact the foul is on him. Which is arguably a reason they don't call it because every RB would get penalized 10 times a game

Yes. Technically. That's my point.

lol, 8 yards for Henry easy... they'd have at least 4 more points if they just gave him the ball

Is he on your fantasy squad or something because they're beating the shit out of TB and the gameplan appears to be working.
It just annoys me, he's one of my favorite non-Patriots. But... was the gameplan working great? They were winning because they got 2 picks. They threw away a 1st and goal at the 7 situation with cute playcalling, then they had another disaster series out of the half where they tried to get cute and lost yards but got bailed out by bad tackling and a very long FG.

They should beat the Bucs, they are a better team and the Bucs D isn't very good. I guess I should be happy though because I don;t want the Ravens to win the SB and their aversion to the run is what killed them last year in the playoffs.

Get the ref analyst on call, Joe doesn’t know the offside would be marked off from the original LOS/replay the down, not marked off from the spot of the fair catch.

Sure would be nice to be able to tune into the other game about now

Can somebody explain to me the process behind streaming games on a subscription only channel? But it’s very definition, they are reducing the number of eyeballs.

Research/test potential new value streams.

ESPN - which is already a cable channel - doing it with ESPN Plus is a bit tougher to take than NBC with Peacock, but that’s business.

Money. Another national game on a contract.

sure, but they don't care about eyeballs. They care about money, and monthly subscriptions can be a lot more money than ad revenue, and longer lasting since many people either don't want to or forget to cancel

This trend of streaming football will certainly increase in the coming years. Lots of dough on the table for the owners.
