He can afford to be now. He's got his money, his Super Bowl and a late-career resurgence. Not badHe might be the most laid back NFL player I've ever seen interviewed.
Must be reading the thread. Called facemask on Mayfield.I always wondered the double standard anyway. A runner can plow his helmet in no problem. Same with facemask.
like spaceballsI’m sorry, but those padded helmets look absolutely fucking ridiculous
The covers have typically looked pretty good. They must have went discount on the Bucs ones.I’m sorry, but those padded helmets look absolutely fucking ridiculous
If it's not then I don't understand the point of the rule. How can that not be defenseless receiver?
So do MRI's of the brains of former NFL players who commit suicide with a shotgun to the chest so that we can all see said MRIs.I’m sorry, but those padded helmets look absolutely fucking ridiculous
do these extra pads do anything at all? a lot of this stuff feels like aesthetics. So do MRI's of the brains of former NFL players who commit suicide with a shotgun to the chest so that we can all see said MRIs.
This sounds like a winning answer from Roger Goodell at his annual press conference before the Super Bowl, if he’s even still doing them.potential new value streams.
Here's a good storydo these extra pads do anything at all? a lot of this stuff feels like aesthetics.
Once we have sufficient sample size to answer that definitively, I'm sure the research will be published. That will be 10-15 years from now. In the meantime, I like players protecting themselves.do these extra pads do anything at all? a lot of this stuff feels like aesthetics.
Yeah, please wake me when “the game is safer than it’s ever been” means a fucking thing. So do MRI's of the brains of former NFL players who commit suicide with a shotgun to the chest so that we can all see said MRIs.
I like players protecting themselves too. There’s no evidence that they are in fact doing that with these caps. In fact, the greater likelihood is that the players think they are protecting themselves by wearing these stupid fucking things but in actuality aren’t because of shit like this:Once we have sufficient sample size to answer that definitively, I'm sure the research will be published. That will be 10-15 years from now. In the meantime, I like players protecting themselves.
The NFL asserts that players wearing Guardian Caps during practice in the last two seasons have seen a 52% decrease in concussions, but CNN reported that the research hasn’t been published or shared with outside researchers.

That Manning Bunch improv was classic.Ed Reed is higher than a motherfucker.
so no real good evidence they have any impact at all. maybe it helps but a lot of these things feel like ass covering by the league in combination with the companies making these things
As I said upthread, such "evidence" takes years to compile. That is a shitty reason to not try.so no real good evidence they have any impact at all. maybe it helps but a lot of these things feel like ass covering by the league in combination with the companies making these things
I was hoping Reed was going to seque to Brady off his Manning riff. That Manning Bunch improv was classic.
