Man City and Spurs get things started.

1-1 after 15 minutes. Both defenses looking shaky.

Lamela bundles over Lampard and Aguero converts the penalty. Blech. Lamela is having a shocker so far.

Now Lampard is injured.

Kaboul stupidly leaves his feet and slides in on Silva for another penalty.

Saved by Lloris!

Now Aguero turns Kaboul inside and out, but Lloris saves again.

Spurs' defense is a shambles right now.

Aguero is great, really a top 10 player in the world. He just can't stay healthy.

Halftime. Not without incident, as they say. Refereeing errors in both City goals but despite that the scoreline seems fair.

Spurs look dangerous going forward but the backline is a horror show. Capoue has not been very effective either.

Crazy last 5 minutes. Spurs' workrate giving City lots of problems, but still lots of very soft giveaways.

Townsend comes on for Lamela. Who's excited for dribbles down blind alleys and shots 20 feet over the bar!

Was just about to type that scoring penalties is the only thing Soldado is good for ....

What a crazy game - two out of three penalties (at least two of which were iffy calls to begin with) saved.

Wtf is Fazio doing there? You have to stay goalside.

Kaboul and Rose did not exactly cover themselves in glory either.

Arsenal's lineup: Szczesny, Bellerin, Mertesacker, Monreal, Gibbs, Flamini, Wilshere, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Cazorla, Alexis, Welbeck

Ramsey is on the bench, which is a great sign.  Defense looks very thin.  20-year old defender Semi Ajayi joins Coquelin as the only defensive subs available.

I would like very badly for Spurs not to shit all over themselves in a big game once.

Please, just once.

Say what you will about 'Arry, but his teams didn't crap themselves very often.

Another for Aguero. But the Spurs defense is a mess. How does he keep ending up in 1v1 situations? He should be double-marked. Poch has not sent the team out with enough defensive structure.

Jon Moss loves a City penalty doesn't he? Still remember him screwing Everton over last season.

Barkley (mind bogglingly), Coleman, and McCarthy start. No Distin in the 18.

Spurs' defense hasn't been good, but City's hasn't been a whole lot better. The difference between the two sides is that
City have a world class center forward and Spurs don't.

Diame pulls back Flamini's head from behind to beat him to the ball and score.  Flagrantly obvious foul not called, and now it's 1-1.

Anybody else watching on Extra Time and have everything freeze? Basically every steam is stuck in the 55th minute.

Yes, same thing happening to me.  I've tried two browsers and two different computers.  Now I'm just watching the Arsenal game on a crappy 240p stream.

Looks like all Everton needed was three of their best five players back, 3-0 up on Villa.

Still should've signed Tadic though, excellent buy from Southampton who are up a touchdown(!) on a hapless Sunderland side.

Proposal for a Bundesliga rule change: giving up a brace to Philipp Lahm means automatic relegation. Man, Werder sucks.
