I can't remember a year when I was more dreading Blue versus Sparty. Being married to a Sparty grad who wants to have friends over on Saturday makes it even worse. Seventeen-point favorites and little reason to doubt the spread.

The three best Pac-12 games all start at 10:00 or later. They involve two one-loss teams (Oregon and Arizona State) and the nation's top-ranked two-loss team (Southern Cal). Larry Scott does not care if the selection committee watches his teams play.

Are you suggesting he lobby better for early slots? The networks ultimately dictate the schedule right now and when FS1 has their 3rd game scheduled for 10 or 11pm ET, they're going PAC. Same with ESPN.

The networks have full control of the schedule because Larry Scott ceded it to them to get more money out of their current contract. For example, the Big Ten's television partners cannot schedule a night game in November, without approval months in advance by all parties involved. Because of the late start times for its most compelling games, I've watched very little Pac-12 football this season, most of it with the sound off at a bar.

You should tip your bartenders better. I manage sound even if it's on the local tv with music over the speakers. Anyway I get your point, but do you really think the networks paying this much to air the games won't factor into PAC being considered for the playoffs?

These are prime time games in all the top west coast markets as well.

Nothing like 7 hours of football on a Friday night.

Cincy beat USF in an ugly, chippy game

Boise is blowing out BYU 41-16 at the half. They had a sweet reverse > pitch the the QB > pass and run

Oregon Cal 14-14 at the end of the first. Upset alert?

Yup,  I do think he had a few (but not that many) pounds on former Louisville QB Jared Lorenzen

Big 12 football games are longer than Red Sox/yankees games.  this game started the same time as BC vs Wake, the BC game is midway through the 3rd quarter, and the TTU/TCU gam is late in the first half

Tried to decapitate the Michigan punt returner. The crowd seemed to like it. Made Gardner do what Gardner does best.

Western Michigan RB, Jarvion Franklin has 3 more rushing touchdowns on the year, to give him 19 through 8 games.  If I'm not mistaken, I think that puts him a tie with Abdullah from Nebraska, who has 19 total td's after today as well.  Franklin has 3td's in 5 of the 8 games, and has about 1,150 yards.

Why is this especially notable?  Franklin is only a freshman.  Obviously, a long way to go, but it's rare for a freshman to put up these kind of numbers, giving him a big jump on attacking the record books.

What gardner does best (run) is something the coaches seem disinterested in leveraging in any way.

There isn't a worse coached team in the nation than mich. The ratio of recruited talent to performance is pitiful.

Texas Tech just allows a popup kickoff to land on the 20 yard line where TCU recovers,

Oh my goodness.  Robinson's run was insane.  He broke 6 tackles,  and at least 4 of them were plays where the defense had two arms around him, had him wrapped up and had stopped his forward progress

Penn State's not in love with the Big Ten; that won't help matters at all.

OSU will win by 40 anyway, they need no help.
Just saw the replay...WOW was that awful. Robbed

Yeah the replay booth? It didn't have a game feed from ESPN.

Good job all around. I imagine Franklin - whose official Twitter account has now tweeted a photo of the ball on the ground before it go in OSU's arms - will get heavy fines.
