I can't decide if Butler is a superstar or not. I don't think he's at the top level of players, but beating him is hard - he's a royal pain in the ass to beat and he's tough as nails.

So they used up 7 of the 8 seconds, then called time out. Do they get to advance this now? I think so, right?

Houston's small ball lineup is pretty cool. I think Boston - should that matchup happen - would put the best small ball lineup up against them, assuming Hayward is back: Kemba, Smart, Jaylen, Hayward, Tatum. That would be a fun matchup.

MIL-MIA was a fun game to watch, except that after watching Nurse and Brad, I just couldn't understand how Budenholzer didn't make a concerted effort to hunt Herro off the court.

Also, the PBP guy used the phrase "torture chamber" to describe Olynyk's post move. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that no one's ever done that before and no one will do it again.

Even Indiana tried it in the first round:
When Herro or Robinson is the primary defender, Indiana has scored 1.86 points per possession on isolation situations. The Pacers have scored just 0.87 points per possession when another Heat player is the defender.

Herro and Robinson combined to defend 21 isolation possessions in the first three playoff games, and Indiana scored 39 points on efficient 12-of-14 shooting on those possessions. Those numbers are why the Pacers continue to single out Herro and Robinson on the defensive end.

Davis needs to work the post much more aggressively when he gets matchups like he did with Eric Gordon. I sense he isn’t terribly comfortable with his back to the basket 10-15 feet out, but time to get over that. He should be killing some of these matchups off an entry pass.

Wonder if Donovan wants back in to college world--he'd be a great get for virtually any big program wouldn't he?

Gordon gets raked across th whole body by LeBron, ball flies OOB, called Houston ball on the floor, but LeBron whines and gets the call overturned off Gordon without a review. SVG calls him out, thankfully.

LBJ just missed an easy second chance opportunity to complain. Insufferable. He's an incredible player and person, but the whining is just so over the top.

He's coming off a season where his team over performed expectations. That's gotta look good to teams in the coaching market.
A large part of that performance is Chris Paul. I would argue that Donovan has woefully underperformed overall given the talent on his rosters. That said, he has had some difficult locker rooms to manage. He also appears to be good with young players. But the guy just isn't great at Xs and Os imo.

The rest of the team is just so bad though, if Danny Green magically becomes Danny Green again for a few weeks, look out league.
In the meantime, he can’t seem to make an uncontested layup off the dribble. He varies so wildly between elite 3 and D guy and total spazz.
