right here
I mean Zo's the guy who gleefully told stories about how they used to peep into the cheerleader's locker room. We're surprised that he's okay with callers talking about this creepy shit?

Beetle and Zo actually have a Jake in Boston graphic when he calls in now. It’s a similar character to Batman looking at the Bat Signal except instead of a bat it’s the Instagram logo.

I'm sure that'll keep his ego in check....

He just called the Joe weekend show saying that the big problem with the Pats is that Bill has too many white coaches that can’t relate to players and that Bill is too cheap and stupid to hire Rodney Harrison and Bruski to be coaches. I’m sure Rodney and Bruschi are just dying to ditch their cushy high paying jobs now to be position coaches.

Guy is such a toolbag.

He started to allude to that again today. Started to bring it up and got interrupted and then continued to talk about it and Beetle talked over him to lead them into a commercial real quick

I actually quite like Leroy, he's great on the weekends.

Much like Z&B they don't "stick to sports!!!!" like the 2-6 show. I'll welcome best places to get bbque or best beach discussions any day.

Yeah, you kind of reap what you sow listening to sports radio ever between end of basketball season and start of football season.

Really? Wow. I thought I heard him during the “X’s and Zo’s” segment, but that must have been the pre-recorded intro and I stopped paying attention and wrongly assumed Zo was there.

lol. They literally opened the show with Hardy doing a lengthy impression of Zo. (and he nailed it, imo)

deep inside Guido territory
Zo and Beetle are roasting Bert Breer on the Michigan-OSU game. Played the Michigan fight song and called his tweet ridiculous. Breer: "I showed it to my friends and they approved of it. We may have had a few too".

In case anyone needs another reason to hate him, Jake from Boston is a "wellllll why aren't we talking about the vaccine..?" Guy

I've been really enjoying Hardy & Holley. Pretty refreshing.
Agreed. Hardy and Holly compliment each other REALLY well. Hardy does a better job at steering the conversation and keeping everyone on task than Beetle in my opinion. Also you can tell the staff feel nostalgic about Holley being back on the air as they keep playing old songs/cuts from his days at WEEI. I hope Beasley makes him an offer to replace Beetle (lol).

I like Beetle, so I'm not on the train of replacing him but anyone who hates Hardy (there's some people here who do) is nuts. Him and Rich are super talented at production, all the off-air prep, but Hardy's 2x as good as Rich on-air. He can lead the show, second chair, 3rd chair or whatever he needs to do. Hardy seems happy where he's at and I'm sure he'd love his own show but he's got his side projects on Sirius etc. that are moving things along.

Hardy's great. Beasley's not outbidding a TV station to get Holley for a midday radio gig lol, they can't even afford to pay T&R 's staff, stop smoking crack

The ratings tell the story. He never got them. They tried multiple partners and time slots, and he never delivered. He was losing to Gresh and Zolak, fer crissakes.
I think we're talking past each other. I'm not talking about ratings I'm referring to actually good sports talk, which is why I said it was refreshing.

Ah, I gotcha. At least for me, it was diminishing returns. I hate the SportsHub, it's all troll radio, so I tried hard to listen to the Holley shows. He's alright, but there's a reason those shows never took off. He's just kind of "meh".

Is there a metric somewhere that proves that interviewing players boosts ratings? Was listening earlier when they had a couple Pats players on and the interviews are so....fucking....boring. Have had this opinion for forever, outside of T&R having fun everything else seems like regurgitated garbage. "Team's awesome, coach is amazing, etc etc" I don't blame the players since they know they can't exactly speak their mind but what is the draw?

contractually obligated by TSH to suply player interviews on X Y Z days I'm sure.

Also I've said it before and I'll say it again. Having Ted Johnson read updates is genuinely unfair to him. I don't care where he falls in the pecking order when he fills in. It's uncomfortable listening to him fumble on every sentence, struggling to read, for 60 seconds.

Ted Johnson just referred to Gronk and Aaron Hernandez as a "lethal combination ".

Yikes. Half right.
I had the same thought the other day. He's pretty good (outside of when he's just ax grinding against BIll) but the reading parts are brutal.

On another note, I don't know WTF is with Joe Murray. He was on with LeRoy today and it was a great show. Whenever he's on during the week or on T&R he's Captain Hot Take / Controversy and terrible. If he just stopped trying so hard he's 100x better. I've said it here a number of times but this is what made Jim Murray so awful. Joe's horrendous during filling in on any normal weekday shows. I am actually a Joe fan, which I know many here are not, I'd hope his night show once he settles in is good and not this crap he's been peddling as a fill in.

I would love to see him paired with Cerrone Battles for the midday show. Talk about insightful hosts. Win all day.

yes battle and irvin wouild be a good show
I was referring to a pairing of Michael Holley and Cerrone Battle...but Leroy did his best to hang with Cerrone last week. I feel his sports knowledge lacks considerably but for entertainment purposes, he serves well as a 3rd, in my opinion. Mike McCarthy, Holley and Cerrone or McCarthy, Cerrone and Leroy would be an entertaining mix.
