E-Kane doing the 'I can't hear you' to Reaves after losing the fight and being down 3 goals.

What a guy - credit to him for having the balls to ultimately go with Reaves though

edit: rewatching the fight, probably closer to even

MacKinnon with an absolute laser to go up 1-0 while on a 5 on 3.

The Preds-Stars first period was quite entertaining too.

Wait. Why do they blow the whistle dead for Tkachuk losing his skate blade but not when Tuukka lost his last year vs TB?

Shots are 31-11 and the game isn’t even halfway over.

My god MacKinnon has a cannon of a shot.

I can’t stand him, but my word did Evander Kane roast Reaves in the media after.

Travesty that San Jose never addressed their goaltending problems during the year. Vegas up 1-0 a minute in again

Best part about the Sharks / VGK series is Kane continuing to show what kind of player he is. In addition to giving interviews about Ryan Reaves before a pivotal game, he gets himself tossed with his team down 4 goals for sucker punching noted tough guy Colin Miller.

Added bonus: as he was skating off with his misconduct, T-Mobile Arena was playing "Do You Know the Muffin Man" on the PA

Ray Ferraro just cited that he is a fan of “Dude Where’s my Car”. So that’s something. Apparently there are a lot of those signs in Colorado for the UMass product as well as some kale.

You just knew bad things were going to happen when the Jet D-man tried to just kill the remaining 25 seconds by just holding the puck against the wall and not moving it out when he had the chance at first.

Yep, terrible decision there by Trouba.

There’s a possibility that 8 of the top 10 teams this season are eliminated in the first round. All it takes is Dallas, Vegas, and Carolina cleaning up.

Edit: and the Blues, but I’m so down on Winnipeg right now I assume that happens.

Handshakes at the Saddledome. Both conference leaders out, one game won between them.
If you had told me before the playoffs started that the Bruins would outlast the Flames and the Lightning, I’d have signed up for that on the spot.

It looked throughout the series that Calgary was playing tight, scared. They looked like the skilled, but inexperienced team they are.

Colorado, on the other hand, looked they were having fun playing with house money...

I am certainty hoping that as a young team, which barring major action will be together for a while, they’ll be able to be better prepared next time they hit the playoffs.

In all seriousness, with the cap these teams are so even that it’s literally all about how teams are playing in April and who’s healthier. Regular season games are only about staying in the race and assessing your team at the deadline.

Hockey is the reverse of the NBA. In the NBA, the first round for the #1 seeds is just a tuneup. You never see upsets. Maybe a game or two, but never a series. In hockey, one bounce can change a series, it's that close. Watching the Lightning get swept, however, is still a shock.

I would be destroyed if I was a fan of that team. Especially after the last few years and how close they have been.

And Wheeler high sticks Sundqvist after a turnover. Double minor.

So tomorrow starts the 2019 run of Toronto as “Canada’s Team”. Ugh.
