Landeskog had that 2 on 1 down low with Suter sprawling and just kind of froze. That could have ended it.

Minnesota ended Patrick Roy's playing career in a game 7 OT, and they ended his first season behind the bench of his former team in a game 7 OT.

I turned immediately to the Sharks game but I thought it hit the middle back bar, whatever the hell that's called?
It hit the crossbar then down to the bottom of the back bar and out.

Here
If they're going to pull Niemi now, they should have just done it during the PP.

Another great trade by Garth Snow and a great job by the garbage can Islanders with that kid.  Holy cow.

The good news is that the Sharks are gonna win the Cup next year.

Considering the Sharks core (except Boyle) are all signed through at least next season, McLellan has to be the fall guy, right?

Carter and Richards strike again. All they're missing is fucking Simon Gagne.

Well the travel for the western conference series is certainly minimized. La - Anaheim and Chicago - Minnesota.

Please, oh please, won't somebody make a GIF of that Thornton face? That was tremendous.

Carter was hurt in game four of their series against New Jersey and didn't come back until the Montreal ECF series was underway.  Never played against the Bruins

As a Bruins fan , 2011 has made it a heck of a lot easier to look back at and joke about 2010, but man did that suck at the time. Feel for the Sharks fans tonight.

Duchenne/O'Reilly/MacKinnon is such an embarrassment of riches.
Not to mention Landeskog and Stastny.  Tough way to end the season tonight, but overall this was a great year that came out of nowhere, and the future is bright.

Landeskog I forgot to include, but I just assume Stastny's gone next year. He's far and away the top center on the UFA market and while Colorado has plenty of cap space there are other teams *coughTORONTOcoughcough* excuse me, other teams likely to outbid them.

Stastny's a UFA right? I imagine he padded his wallet a bit the last seven games.
Yes, but the Avs have a lot of cap room, and he played at Denver University in college, so it's likely they'll work out a deal and he stays

Fair enough, you're closer to the situation than I am.

I think another team will have to offer a lot more than the Avs, because if the money's close (and as you mention the Avs have lots of room) I think he'll stay
