Some fancy town in CT
Here comes the lame ass third period effort which does nothing but register shot attempts. Hey at least their corsi is good.

We have to be the worst tape-to-tape passing team in the NHL.

McAvoy out of the penalty box just came flying out and Subban'ed the Devil closest to him. Looked like he just threw him to the ice. I guess he figured he had nothing to lose with like 15-20 seconds left.

Good to finally score some 5v5 goals. But squeaking by Buffalo and now this awful Devil team doesn't inspire much confidence.

I agree, but it is better than the alternative.
At the risk of sounding too melodramatic, the "alternative" for me, as a fan, was the end of the season. Losing 4 of 5 to that team is too much. Now? life. And, I think, in the locker room for the boys and also in the FO as far as the trade deadline goes. Give Bergy and Co. one more shot!

I sometimes cross memories, but the last few non-covid years I recall the Bs going into a funk prior to the trade deadline. I wonder if this has been more of that - distracted by the realities of a possible change in the locker room. Just armchair QBing I guess.

This could well be the case. I recall reading, quite recently and somewhere (as to where -- well, now lost in the haze of interminable online scans) that Smart was bent out of shape because he thought the Celts might trade him -- so it definitely occurs. At any rate, the Bs still have 4 games in hand and, if they win them all, are right in the thick of it. I'm hoping for the best going forward, even if (as with durandal 1707) I think the team may prove to be mediocre. In the words of the Supremes, they keep me hanging on.
