I hope you're sitting down.Is there any chance we win the shootout?
New Jersey 0-3 in shootouts this season. Is there any chance we win the shootout?
I agree, but it is better than the alternative.Good to finally score some 5v5 goals. But squeaking by Buffalo and now this awful Devil team doesn't inspire much confidence.
At the risk of sounding too melodramatic, the "alternative" for me, as a fan, was the end of the season. Losing 4 of 5 to that team is too much. Now? life. And, I think, in the locker room for the boys and also in the FO as far as the trade deadline goes. Give Bergy and Co. one more shot!I agree, but it is better than the alternative.
I sometimes cross memories, but the last few non-covid years I recall the Bs going into a funk prior to the trade deadline. I wonder if this has been more of that - distracted by the realities of a possible change in the locker room. Just armchair QBing I guess. At the risk of sounding too melodramatic, the "alternative" for me, as a fan, was the end of the season. Losing 4 of 5 to that team is too much. Now? life. This could well be the case. I recall reading, quite recently and somewhere (as to where -- well, now lost in the haze of interminable online scans) that Smart was bent out of shape because he thought the Celts might trade him -- so it definitely occurs. At any rate, the Bs still have 4 games in hand and, if they win them all, are right in the thick of it. I'm hoping for the best going forward, even if (as with durandal 1707) I think the team may prove to be mediocre. Krejci likes to pass and Smith likes to shoot. At least they're in sync on that part of it.Smith and Krejci looking like a legit 2nd line the last few games.
Krejci hasn't been shooting well/much lately (maybe snakebit is better??)... someone to consistently cash in on his passes is a real good thing.Krejci likes to pass and Smith likes to shoot. At least they're in sync on that part of it.
