I'm not sure if poll questions like this are allowed here, but I'm curious to see what people here generally think of the Philadelphia Phillies. In my opinion, I'm neutral towards them, but what do you think?

Make sure to respect each other's opinions. I created this poll just for fun. If this type of poll isn't allowed here then I'm fine with it being removed.

I don’t like them but also I am not neutral. I am a bit above neutral.

They are fine. They don’t bother me.

I’m mostly neutral to them, but I think they have somewhat shitty fans.

Also, when Ruben Amaro Jr. was their GM, I didn’t like them very much. I forget why, but I both disliked Amaro and thought of him as a total dunce of a GM.

Maybe it had something to do with his demands for Cole Hamels…

Phuck the Phillies and their battery-throwing Phanatical Phans.

Couldn't even win in 2009 when it mattered.

There
Went with "I like them." I think Harper has come a long way and I'm now actively rooting for him. Schwarber's success makes me happy. Their fans are all-in. I hope they win.

This is where I’m at for the most part. I’m mostly neutral on the team, I think they are a fun group and easy to root for. But their fans are the worst of the worse. They deserve no joy. I will be rooting for the Astros.

I like them, and I’m rooting for them. And I think the knocks on their fans are overblown. They’re not that much different than Sox fans, or how we used to be. Been to the Cit many times with the Sox, wearing Sox merch, and always had a good time. And other than some good natured shit talk, never felt remotely unsafe.

I like Abbott Elementary a lot, so that's something. That show has been great about folding in very authentic Philadelphia sports takes.

I like this team a lot. As someone who has spent my entire adult life outside of New England, I can't hold anything against the team for their fans' "behavior" (I guess) because objectively speaking they aren't any worse than New England fans.

I really enjoy watching their pitchers. Outside of Wheeler, they aren't electric but they battle. The offense is fun to watch and you never know when they are just going to go off. Harper is a lot of fun, and I think he is very underrated, and seems like an awesome teammate. I think they are a good mix of homegrown and GFIN moves (Bohm, Hoskins, Stott is a pretty solid homegrown core). They are fun to watch, that's what I care about in my sports these days, everything else is noise.

I like them. I live in Philly and have no problem rooting for them when the Sox are not in the playoffs. I'm hoping they win so Harper can get the ring he missed out on when he left Washington. I've really grown to like Harper from how he handled his free agency. If I remember correctly, he turned down an offer from Washington that was shorter but had a higher annual salary because he wanted the extra years that the Phillies agreed to give him to ensure he wouldn't have to sign another contract in his career, because he was starting a family and didn't want to be moving his family around while his kids were growing up. That impressed me.

He also really understands the Philadelphia fan mentality. He gave a statement after they won last week that a big part of the reason he signed with the Phillies was because of how viciously he was booed when he played here as a National, as he wanted to on the other side of that sort of passion. That stuff is catnip to Philly fans.

In my opinion, I'm neutral towards the Phils. They've had a lot of great and likeable players throughout their history, especially the best ones: Mike Schmidt and Steve Carlton.

In terms of the fans, I don't like their behavior, but I also don't think they're as bad as other fanbases make them out to be. But they can still be pretty rowdy. I'm also not a big Bryce Harper fan. I think he's a little overrated, but he's definitely a good player.

I mean at this point Bryce will probably retire as a HOF. He's in his age 29 season and has an OPS+ of 142 and has 285 homers. Unless his 30s are a monumental disaster he's bound for Cooperstown.
