When you think of the biggest games for the major sports, whose voices sound like they belong the most?

For me:

MLB playoffs: Costas/McCarver
NHL playoffs: Thorne/Clement
NBA playoffs: Stockton/Hubie
NFL playoffs: Summerall/Madden
CFB Bowls/Playoffs: Should be Jackson/Griese but it's really Herbstreit/Fowler now.
Final Four: Nantz (boo)/Packer
Masters: Nantz (boo)/Venturi

I'd eliminate Nantz and go with Summerall for Golf and Enberg (with McGuire joining Packer) for NCAA hoops. The E/P/M trio might be the only one to come close to touching the success of MNF when it comes to 3-people in the "booth".

I get the duo aspect of this, but Fowler (College Gameday hosting is his notable contribution) isn't even on the same planet as Jackson for CFB and Enberg was superior at tennis. Herbie, without much effort, does lap Griese as an analyst.

FInal Four: Enberg/Packer/McGuire, 1978-81. Packer and McGuire counterbalanced each other.
NFL: The more I hear Summerall's call of the final drive of SB 36 the more I appreciate that he didn't treat it like a radio call and didn't try and steal the moment.

It’s probably a result of the fact that I haven't really followed hockey in 40 years, but I’d say Tim Ryan and Ted Lindsay for the NHL.

I have to say Vin Scully for baseball. His voice just embodies what the sport means to me - a peaceful way to spend a beautiful summer day.

MLB: I really want to say Dizzy Dean / Pee Wee Reese (Hey potnuh, how 'bout a nice cold can of Falstaff), but I'll go with Vin Scully and, well, Vin Scully, since he rarely teamed up with anyone, at least not regularly or for any length of time

NFL: Pat Summerall / John Madden

NBA: Marv Albert / Frank Fratello

NHL: Sam Rosen / Joe Michelletti

NCAA Football: Keith Jackson / Frank Broyles

NCAA Basketball: Dan Shulman / Jay Bilas
