Why does Safari think I live in Houston?

I live in North Carolina and have for years. Whenever I enter a search string on my iPhone browser, the autocomplete results always start with Houston. I get the same thing on websites with any location tracking; Home Depot as an example always thinks I want to see stock at Houston stores.

I’ve tried a few things I’ve found on Apple support forums but no luck so far. Any ideas here, other than moving to Houston?

They’re on. I think that has something to do with my home Wi-Fi (ATT fiber) but I can’t figure out how to fix it.

Houston when I’m on Wi-Fi, Fargo ND when I’m on a cell signal. Which is also weird.
Not sure how iPhone permissions work compared to Android, but is it possible that, while location is turned on for the phone, it may have been set to denied for the particular app?

I checked this out but there’s nothing wonky with location permissions. It looks like Safari is determining my location from the Wi-Fi IP address though, not from my GPS location. Weirdly I don’t get suggestions that I’m in Fargo when I’m just on a cell signal.

Do you have the same problem if you try to use Chrome for Google?

One quick thing to try is to go to Settings-General-Transfer or Reset iPhone-Reset-Reset Location & Privacy

Yeah, same problem in Chrome. I also tried the location reset and the problem is persisting. I'm taking it up now with my wi-fi provider, which seems to be the likely culprit.
