Unless I missed it, no thread a week into the window?

Currently being reported that West Ham have sold Sebastien Haller, the only fit striker on the squad list to Ajax for 20M.

Badly misused by Moyes, Haller will likely score loads under Ten Hag

Jesse Lingard will complete a loan move to West Ham today. More often than not he’s a punchline but I do think he’s a decent player for a mid table premier league side. West Ham isn’t exactly the best fit as they’re pretty strong up top but wherever he goes he’ll get more playing time. Hopefully he impresses enough to secure a permanent move.

Marcus Rojo heading to Boca Juniors.

One year ago today we signed Bruno. I’m too young to remember Cantona but they say the impact Bruno has had is similar. Since signing for United they’ve won the most points in the Premier League.

I forgot to mention this one, but Crystal Palace has seemingly pulled off a pretty great deal for Jean-Phillipe Mateta from Mainz. It’s an 18 month loan, with an option or obligation to buy (depending on whom you ask) for £2.7mm loan fee and £13.4mm purchase (at 15 PL appearances?). For someone who has 10 goals in 17 Bundesliga appearances this season, on a pretty rotten side, and is only 23 years old, well that’s the sort of deal that makes me happy. It also suggests that Benteke will be moving on, and that Batsuhayi won’t be coming to Palace permanently.

Palace have a lot of work to do to turn over one of, if not the, oldest teams in the league. Eze, Ferguson and Mateta have them off to a good start, even if it’s really late...they have something like 13 players coming out of contract at the end of the season.
